I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm ready for Penn State FB and the Fall.

I start back at work on Monday. That’s when I really start to look forward to football season. One of the many distractions I use to help me get through the working week.

Amen ... once we turn the calendar to August you notice the daylight getting shorter, crickets getting louder and things maturing and dying as summer fades away which only leads us to 1 thing ... Football Season

I go back Monday, as well. It's great having the month of July off every year and going back to work just means football season is right around the corner!
What do you guys do that you get the month of July off? or do you just have that much vaca time? I am jealous.

Kind of over the summer as of today.

Shalom
Not me. It can remain June for 12 months a year as far as I am concerned. June represents that feeling of getting out of school as a kid with the entire summer in front of you. All those things you did in the summer as a kid growing up - that could be a whole different thread. Now, it still represents the beginning of summer with the anticipation of a new football season just a couple of months away (although that excitement is taking a hit with a combined 11-11 record over the past 2 years, portals, NIL, conference realignment, etc).

I am at the point in my life where yes, the start of football season is fun, but those 12 weeks just FLY by in the blink of an eye and next thing you know it's the dog days of winter!

From June-August is such a slow sports time (for me) once NBA Finals and Stanley Cup are over, and damn hot in humid here in SE Florida.

CANNOT WAIT for football season. Sons and I got tickets for the OSU game... hoping we're still in it at that point so the game has BIG title implications.

Living in New Orleans, we have 5 months of hot humid weather. It doesn't usually break until 3rd week of October and then we will have some of the best weather anyone can ask for. Spring is nice but it is usually too short.

Agree. I'm not a fan of the Fall. Many love it, but I think it's overrated. It portends the sort of changes I don't like. I dislike seeing the days grow shorter, the leaves on the trees falling and the sounds of summer nights dissipating. It's always given me a weird sense of pending doom. (Now I'm off to my therapy session;))
