For the past decade or so, starting in the MacMahon era and onto Polk II, seemed like the batters were terrified to be at the plate. They looked like that guy in Little League who, because they had that rule where everybody had to play one inning and have at least one at-bat, were put into Right Field and hopefully didn't have an at-bat when the team needed it.
Seems like they were all praying for a walk. Looking at grooved 1st pitch strikes, and looking at strike threes. I always believed that a called third strike is blasphemy, something that put you on the end of the bench and replaced by someone who had the nuts to swing the bat.
Looks like John Cohen will have State back to making pitchers scared as **** to face our hitters.</p>
