I don't think a lot of our players are going to like this.

(53) They better be as intense as Cohen, too. "I don't deal well with kids who don't compete," he said.

Well then, they can leave. If your not here to win, why the hell are you here?

MSU baseball is not about making friends and fellowship- that's what church softball is for.

It's like Christmas in June.

They can all quit if they don't want to compete to win championships. If you are not there to win, then leave.

of your head coach. Not saying that Polk didn't want to win but maybe it wasn't with as much fire as Cohen. I think these same players will have a totally different attitude next year.

Ron Polk wrote his book 35 years ago and has coached from it verbatim. He's not adapted to the changes in the game, he just complains about it.

Cohen will expect, no, demand performance from the team. Things like running past another runner on a home run will not happen.

For the past decade or so, starting in the MacMahon era and onto Polk II, seemed like the batters were terrified to be at the plate. They looked like that guy in Little League who, because they had that rule where everybody had to play one inning and have at least one at-bat, were put into Right Field and hopefully didn't have an at-bat when the team needed it.

Seems like they were all praying for a walk. Looking at grooved 1st pitch strikes, and looking at strike threes. I always believed that a called third strike is blasphemy, something that put you on the end of the bench and replaced by someone who had the nuts to swing the bat.

Looks like John Cohen will have State back to making pitchers scared as **** to face our hitters.

Some of the current players will look and play completely differently next year. The ones who don't won't last long.
