I find myself rooting for a guy like Jameis Winston.

Pretty sure he’s a raper. This thread reminds me of the psuro drank 6 gallons of bourbon in 13 days thread.

I like him as a person. And I've done worse than stealing crab legs.

Shalom
He didn’t steal anything. Their players were allowed to shop there without paying. Person who caught him didn’t know the deal.

Since your talking Jameis character. There was that sexual assault he got off on.

At least he understands the role of sports based on his comments after that National Championship Game. "Ain't nothing bigger than this game." He's right, there are plenty of things that are bigger than a CFB NC game.

It always amazes me that someone who plans on playing QB in the NFL (typically the face of the franchise) doesn't put more focus on learning and speaking proper English. The endorsement money left on the table for those guys is huge.

You must first educate him on the meaning of endorsement.

@Mr. Potter, I honestly find this whole thread to be as bizarre as anything I’ve seen in 24 years on the McAndrew Board. Either you know absolutely nothing of Jameis Winston, which would then beg the question of why you are rooting for him in the first place (you gave no reason), or you’re trolling us.

Shalom.

If you somehow meant to say something along the lines of “I admire how Jameis Winston has recovered from his youthful indiscretions,” then fine, but you got to say so. We don’t read minds. #subjectlinesmatter

I'll take everything outside of football and set it aside for this statement. (That is my position for this discussion). Many can make an argument of the terrible human being he is or he isn't. People can also take the argument that anything that we state is positive from PSU, is tainted by Jerry (Hence we stood by in silence yet knew.) I chose not to believe that scenario.

My rooting is for a football player who was at the apex and knocked down and as a teammate who was devoted to his teammates (always was a cheerleader when he didn't play). Still played with a fire and always seem to opine for the greater good of team over individual. From what I gather from conjecture it seems like he's a teammate on a football squad you would and can rely on.

Shabbat Shalom.

P.S. If he did rape or harm a woman, and moreover, he's a ****** human being, I'll be first in line if one existed to f-ck him up.

P.S.S.: Caveat: Let me add I assumed he stole crab legs. Apparently, he didn't, I apologize to Mr. Winston. But the posters who are so sure that he assaulted a woman or taxi driver, please confirm your responses if you are certain. (This is where no-one confirms) so if need be I could cite you as a relevant source.

Mr. Potter, I find in my thoughts.....
Surprising, rooting for Mr. Woods at Nuremberg.

Unfortunately, U.S. Army reports suggest that Woods participated in at least 11 bungled hangings of U.S. soldiers between 1944 and 1946.

"Master Sergeant John C. Woods was an American executioner assigned to hang 10 Nazi leaders during the Nuremberg executions in 1946. Of the 10 men he was charged with hanging, at least 7 of them weren’t killed by a broken neck, which is how a hanging is supposed to work.⠀

“Those Nazis were bad, bad men. So what if it took longer for them to die. Maybe they should have thought of that as they were sending people to concentration camps." ⠀

U.S. Army hangman John C. Woods was a psychopath who lied his way into becoming the executioner at Nuremberg — and did everything in his power to ensure that the condemned Nazi leaders suffered until their last breath."

You should do your own research. Make sure you bring along a lot of ChapStick.

How hard is this to do? Wikipedia’s right there. Even if you decide not to trust what Wikipedia (or some other source) has to say, at least you’ll maybe ask yourself if saying “Attaboy, Jameis” might not be the best idea.

Root for whoever you want. I certainly don’t care about that. Winston seems to have at least questionable character but if you want to root him, have at it. About as much as I care about him is that I’m hoping he stays away from my daughters.
