They have been really impressive the last 2 games. They are long, athletic, and really defend. They are also better than the Clemson team that gave Carolina fits all 3 games due to their athleticism. Caliperi gets it done and shows CowGeorgePowerStanzaMeo what a dumbass he is for saying he cant coach.

Also shows how we underachieved. We should have been a Sweet 16 at least. Gordon has given Mempho more fits than anybody so far. 1st ten games did us in, thats for sure. Hopefully, we will have an uneventful offseason this year.

I don't think it was just Gordon but also our interior defense. Look what they did against Mich State and Texas, they were able to score almost at will in the post and the lane. We were more stingy in that aspect. Gordon no question on the perimeter gave them trouble as well.

Swat matched up well with them and kept them frustrated. Makes me sick we pissed away those games that kept us from being a 4,5,6 seed

</p>there I fixed it for you.

UCLA had trouble scoring on A&M, just wait and see what happens this coming Saturday...Memphis is way to athletic for them

Fixed for you. KU and Memphis are the best 2 teams left playing. Unfortunately, I think you are right that Memphis takes it. They are just playing too damn good right now. And, since Memphis is playing as good if not better than any of these teams, how did we under achieve since we played them? If we're in any other bracket and either a 7 or 10 seed, we make the Sweet 16, possible Elite 8. That loss to UGA really sucked.

as in Memphis +5 against UCLA? No way UCLA beats them by 5. They may win, but it won't be more than a point or 2. And the way Memphis is playing right now, I just don't see how UCLA can stop them. Hell, they may be better than the damn Grizzlies at this point.

you got to be kidding. No team that struggled to beat Davidson can beat NC.

We underachieved due to the fact that we were an 8 seed. No way that should have happened.

UNC beat Davidson by 4 points. Davidson is a really good damn team. Especially when you've got 40,000 fans cheering them to knock off KU. And again, UNC only beat Davidson by 4. Good argument there.

I'll damn sure pay $20 to see Memphis lose by more than 5 points to UCLA. I really hope you're right on this one.

Cause unless we bat over .360 the rest of the season, you're gonna owe him some money.

I agree that Davidson was a legit team, but Carolina played them a long time ago. Kansas may end up beating Carolina, but nobody is playing as well as they are right now. Nobody's kept it to single digits yet, and we're already to the Final Four.

After they lost those two games, they decided, "Alright, let's start playing defense now." Then Lawson came back, and they've looked damn near unbeatable ever since.

No other team in the tourney had the advantage they had, except maybe UCLA - and they played their 2nd weekend games in Arizona. UNC/KU is going to be a really good game. I think it could go either way. But, to use the Davidson close game as barometer is ridiculous. Curry and Richards are the real deal. They may have played UNC early in the season, but I'm not so sure the result would have been much different than it was then. KU had to play them in front of 57K+ fans or whatever it was (something insane), 90% of which were pulling against them. It won't be like that in San Antonio, I guarantee you. KU wins a close game and plays Memphis for the Championship.

see any way tha kansas can beat unc right now. they're playing the best ball out of anyone in the nation. also, i wouldn't look at what a team did against another team 4 months ago and really give it much weight. unc wasn't anywhere near the team at the beginning of the season that they are now (see msu pre-sec schedule to sec schedule). i'm guessing that if they played davidson now that they'd beat them by at least 13.

But considering we're almost 40 points below that right now, we're going to have to hit .360 the rest of the way to get anywhere near .330.

Thinking we'd bat .330 was ridiculous, but nobody expected we'd be anywhere near .251 in conference play through 9 games. This is just a Perfect Storm season. We lost 3 of our 4 best position players from last year and then the 4th is injured all year. Our pitching was suspect to begin with, then our 2 best pitchers have missed most of the season so far. I knew we wouldn't be as good as the preseason predictions were, but I had no idea we'd be this bad.
