Arrow.... Please tell me why Coach Polk is a cause for a very good Georgia team getting to the championship game and losing? He at least got Georgia back going again. For us, unfortunately, he did a disappointing job in getting MSU back.

I cannot fault Georgia on a great season and they have their program moving in the right direction.

Thank goodness that we have a coach in Cohen that gives us hope.

But.... let's stop the Polk bashing. It is getting old on remarks he has made and some of our fans doing it equally. I am ready to move on towards MSU getting to where we need to be in Athletics.....

one of the things he has gloated about with the whole Raffo for HC saga was that he recommended Perno, even though some have said he actually recommended Shoop for the UGA job. He also has talked about how Dooley did a National Search and how it didn't work- you kind of have to wonder if he didn't try to sabotage that as well- and how Perno has turned out to be a good coach.

Be that as it may, I find it funny that one thing Perno said that they did differently was change everything.

Had UGA won tonight, there is no doubt in my mind that Polk would have said something like "It's sad because that could be Tommy in a few years."

I'll tell you another thing that has pissed me off about Polk and his comments. He basically has tried to downplay how good the job is because "we don't have a lottery", and saying that Pat McMahon essentially took a better job. But trying to lower expectations is par for the course with Polk with his brilliant comments about "our fans put too much pressure on our players at home", "We're happy that our nice team made a Regional this year", and of course "It's not fair that UGA has the HOPE sholarship." I think the interest in our job alone has shot his "MSU is not all that great of a job" comments down a little.

I love Ron Polk and what he has done overall for our baseball program, but I am still highly pissed off that he has basically set our baseball program back almost 10 years including his seven year extended retirement party in order to try to meet his personal agenda, which is not really what's best for MSU.</p>

I also did not appreciate with what Polk said.... but it is time MSU fans put their efforts to something other than bashing. Heck.... you are no worse than Polk if all we do is bash him versus what we can do to help the current coaching staff and help MSU.

If you did not read the news lately, you have Dickie Scruggs getting letters from Khyatt and other people so that he can get out of serving jail time.... you have our current Governor trying to get Ole Miss setup with an engineering program.! Where is the outrage? Why can't the IHL board and our state put a nursing program at MSU?

While many are debating the past, don't look to see your back stabbed....

I wanted Polk gone because that was what was best for our baseball program. I have said many, many times that we should promote the heck out of the Dugout Club while the iron is hot, that we should push for renovations and recruit nationally, among other things. I have also said that despite our good attendance compared to other schools that we should promote the games better because we can do better with our attendance, and I feel that it is especially important that we market the team to the student body because this is "their team" and they are the MSU baseball fans of the future. The midweek games in particular need to be geared towards the students and the weekends could be geared towards both alumni and students.

The other stuff you mentioned is non-sports related.

of the people disappointed when Polk returned. We could have had our choice of coaches when Mr.Polk came back and re-hired himself. Instead we got his choice. For him to attack our program and all that other crap because he did not get to chose again is why I wont be over it ever. People keep saying he lost his temper and should get a pass. He threatened to do all the things he did before he did them. That's an agenda not a loss of control. He was worse every year since he came back, and more arrogant if anyone questioned him. He came back to use us for his agenda against "the evil NCAA". I thought he was going to Arizona if he didn't get his way. So he is a lying piece of **** too. Take your name and don't let the door hit you in the ***. Maybe he can find another place to pay him to lay around bitching and licking his balls.

MSU and especially its fans an apology for using the MSU head baseball coach position as a platform for his own personal agenda for well over 15 years instead having the good and only the good of MSU baseball as his main objective.
