What kills me about Marquis is that he is a lights out Cy Young clone in all but one inning of every start. But in that one inning.....my gosh it's like he's straight from A Ball out there. Any time he starts off an inning with a hit and a walk, Lou should sprint to the mound before he throws another pitch. Of course today he follows him up with Cotts and Howry, public enemies 4 and 2 in Chicago these days, with Fukudome weighing in at #3.

Nope, just for some reason the Cubs can't beat the Nats. They can beat anyone else though. The Nats are 3-1 against the Cubs, but the Cubs will still finish with the best record in the NL. I remember a few years back when the Cubs were one of the worst teams in the NL and the Cards were the best team in the NL by a wide margin. Yet somehow, that season the Cubs had a winning record head to head with the Cards. The Cards beat everyone else in the NL except for the Cubs.

we feel your pain. I was happy that the Cubs got him. Typically you'll get one decent year and then he will gradually begin to fall apart.

He has the tools to be an All-Star in the big leagues, but there's just something missing.
