I clicked on Alabama and then their radio network. We need to get Meridian off their damn network. Especially since we're getting ready to have a couple of their players sign with us.

Do we have coverage there or will Meridian folks have to listen to the Alabama network when Tyler is playing against them? Pitiful.

that's the kind of crap someone needs to let GB know has been going on. He'll straighten that **** out.

Seeing as how Texas A&M uses the same company, I have no reason to doubt you. I think Byrne having a father as an AD is going to help us and him tremendously. I feeling pretty wooly about the entire state of MSU Athletics, and it starts at the top. From AD to Football to Baseball to Basketball, I'm happy with the current state of all our leadership (although I still have my worries about Croom's offense). I don't know if I've ever said that before.

be on 1240 AM in f'n Jackson.

And just get your *** ready because a buddy of mine at the tax commission told me that we'll be seeing specialty Mississippi car tags for bammer before long. I've seen the Auburn plates around, and I understand LSU got their tag approved but I have yet to see one on the road yet. Can't wait to see a mullet plate on a 91 camaro. You know it's coming.

It's all about station revenue. Need to make sure stations that carry MSU games are full of advertisers. If the money's there for MSU sports, the station's will always be chomping at the bit to carry our games, not somebody else's. Unfortunately, some so-called MSU -supporting businesses haven't been on the broadcasts enough. These stations can't carry the games for free,ya know.

Marketing MSU Athletics just took a giant step up.

I got a brochure from the athletic dept dedicated to upselling the "Bulldog Cushion" stadium seat-backs at $35/each. Nice touch trying to bring in some extra money out of season ticket holders. I've never seen that before.

In a related note, I got my dad one of these a few years ago and he started having back problems the day after he used it for the first time. Completely ruined his back. I guess it was the straw that broke the camel's my dad's back.</p>

just because I stand up for a pretty good bit of the game, and not having one gives a little more room to move around.</p>

We got them one year, and didn't do it again. If we're not getting our *** kicked, I'm standing half the game anyway.

We have been unable to get our rather significant fanbase to commit to buying enough MSU vanity tags to enable us buying them here. Alabama, and probably other states, requires a minimal commitment of purchases to direct their prison employees to press vanity plates.

Sad, that. Not enough of us here have stepped up.

Here in the Rocket City, there have been enough people to buy vanity plates extolling our contribution to the moon exploration program, 40 years ago.

I do know that some Dawg fans in Alabama have ordered vanity tags with a gappage in the middle of the plate [that might invoke another image] to allow space for an M-State sticker.

It's true. We are FINALLY getting out from under the Umiss network. Maybe we'll actually have more than about 3 stations in MS now.

RCD,

You may have more current info than me. However, I also live in HSV and have talked to our local state representative...who happens to be a bulldog. I've been told that it won't matter how many sigs you get. Montgomery will not approve a license plate for any out of state school. He said it is b/c one member of the house is a bama fan that hates Notre Dame. Several years ago the Notre Dame group tried to get a tag and he pitched a fit and made sure it didn't pass. He said he would make sure he never let an out state school get a tag at the risk that ND would get one.

He may be out of office now. However, I wanted to make sure you knew about this. Sorry, if this is old news.

There is no way using a chairbacked seat cushion is going to harm your back compared to sitting on an aluminum bleacher.

No out of state school can have a tag in Alabama. I didn't know it was because of ND. I always thought it was because they didn't want to have to send some of the money to an out of state school.
