I'm watching more F1 races than NASCAR. I never thought I would see the day but I never thought I would see a road race in Chicago either.
Football needs to hurry up and get here.

Except for Monaco. That race amongst the yachts is badass. The start/laps 1-2 are it for F1 as far as "excitement" is concerned.
Then it's just a single-file parade.
No thanks.
The cars are so cool. But it’s almost impossible to pass anyone, so it becomes a few hours of watching cool cars drive around city streets. Really cool to watch for a half hour or so. But not much really happens. The start/laps 1-2 are it for F1 as far as "excitement" is concerned.

Did you not see the race where the guy with electric whips tried to kill Tony Stark. It was amazing. The start/laps 1-2 are it for F1 as far as "excitement" is concerned.

The one on the Vegas strip coming up this fall will be insane. I still can't believe they could convince all the casinos to go along with shutting down the street, but I guess it pays off for them in multiple millions of other ways.I'm watching more F1 races than NASCAR. F1 casual fan here. The racing, IMO, was more exciting and interesting prior to instituting The No Refueling rule. Refueling added another layer of strategy. The rule definitely took out a real element of risk/danger as well.I'm watching more F1 races than NASCAR. The build there has already began on our end. I will be on site Sept 15-end of November for our power and hvac build. We are currently at 22 megawatts worth of generator power and about 2000 tons of hvac for the build, and that’s essentially just our piece in the triple decker tents along Koval. It’ll be like no other race ever run in this country IMO. Hope I manage to keep the lights on(literally)The one on the Vegas strip coming up this fall will be insane. Was just out there and saw the structures under construction. It doesn't seem possible for Vegas to be 'blowing up' since there was already so much there, but with the GK winning the Stanley Cup, Allegiant Stadium, the F1 race and now the A's building a new baseball stadium at the Tropicana... it's growing at a crazy rate even for them. The build there has already began on our end. I don’t even want to know what balcony hotel rooms are going for that day.The one on the Vegas strip coming up this fall will be insane. Agree with this. The use of the Drag Reduction System a few years ago really improved the action overall. It would be interesting to see how much passing has increased due to DRS.That's strange. Except for the leader of the last few races I saw lots of passing during the race. They just didn't all turn left in a circle. It really impressed me of how much speed they could get up in such a short length of track and how much more precision they have to use because the car is so much lighter than a NASCAR car with wider tires. They can 17 everything up really fast. They are very similar with NASCAR in appearance of their speed on camera being not at all near what they are actually traveling.
They literally just ran in the rain this past weekend.Another factor that you’ll never see in NASCAR is the weather.
NASCAR has a rain tire, now? That’s news to me.They literally just ran in the rain this past weekend.
It was a Road Course, so that it may have had different rules. Different down forcing and tire width.NASCAR has a rain tire, now? That’s news to me.
NASCAR developed the rain tire years ago, and if memory serves, ran it at a non-points race in Japan back in the 90's. Rain tires for road courses have been available since 2021 but have only been needed twice before at the Charlotte roval and at COTA. Downforce/engine packages don't change due to rain but due to the track. Tire width doesn't change either. It was a Road Course, so that it may have had different rules. You obvioiusly havent looked at the packages they are selling.....The one on the Vegas strip coming up this fall will be insane. I still can't believe they could convince all the casinos to go along with shutting down the street, but I guess it pays off for them in multiple millions of other ways.
