I like to go back to the videos of the EggBowl last year

I have made a couple of observations. The first one scares the crap out of me - when Pegues fielded the punt. That ball could easily have taken an OM bounce and gone over his head. The last 8 minutes would be history. But this time it worked out for us. How many time has Lady Luck bitten us on the *** in the past?

From the split second it is visable, Carlson's kick looks like he could have been back another 10 or 15 yards. Now I am completely wooley for this year. What, 30 days to go?

Yea, I almost feel like the Pillow thing was leaked by our administration to give them some more ammunition. If you think about it, there really was no reason for that to be reported. The only people that would've known about it would've been the hotels and the school. The hotels wouldn't care that much because they were going to get their money. The school could've easily handled that in house without the public ever knowing it had happened.

I really believe they leaked it on purpose to build up some more steam against Orgeron. Of course, had they known what would happen in the Egg Bowl, they'd have known that he was going to dig his own grave without them having to help him out. I'm still convinced that the Egg Bowl just made things easier on them. I seriously thought they were going to give him a 4th year regardless, but obviously they knew about what was going on inside the program, and therefore I think he was done probably around the time of the Arkansas game, which I still say was more embarassing than the NW State game.

I have to believe that O's future at Ole Miss was dependent on if Nutt was given another year at UArk or not. Had Arkansas said, "Ok, one more year" the Rebels probably would have stayed with Coach O, but with Nutt coming on the market you guys really didn't have the choice to give him another year. It was pretty obvious that O wasn't going to turn things around. In my opinion Ole Miss got really lucky that he didn't do something to embarass the school on a national level.

what if we don't get the ******** offsides call at West Virginia? What if Ellis decides not to go with the 3 man front vs. Ole Miss? What if Riddell hadn't been suspended vs. LSU? What if Carolina doesn't block that punt? What if Dixon stops dancing and learns to play to his strengths?

The trend here is that there are more positive "what-ifs" than negative ones.

Did you seriously just bring up "what ifs" for your LSU and West Virginia games from last year?

as woolly as you are right now I can afford to be a little myself.

Without Henig's interceptions we were playing LSU close.

The offsides vs. West Virginia was the opening kickoff, they fumbled and we recovered. They called it back, and WV either returned the next kickoff or the first play for a TD.

...was an offsides on the kickoff, which was fumbled by Steve Slaton and recovered by us in the WVU redzone. Re-kick was returned to about the 25, and Pat White scrambled the remaining 75 yards on the first play from scrimmage.

It was a classic Playstation Reset Button game.</p>

Just saying, I've never seen someone play what ifs with a 4 TD game. I guess I could bring up what ifs about BJGE fumbling at the 1 against UGA, when we were about to go up 14-0, but you'd probably make fun of me for playing what ifs for a game we ended up losing 45-17.

Or I could say that without Darren McPhadden and Felix Jones we were playing Arkansas close.

Just pointing out how stupid that sounds. LSU outgained you 347-146. Even if Henig doesn't throw the ball to LSU 6 times, your offense still wasn't going to score. And West Virginia was up 28-0 on you after the first quarter. So, you had a fumble called back because of an offsides. Maybe you'd have gone up 7-0 at that point on your way to losing by only 2 or 3 TDs instead of losing by 4 TDs. You put up only 214 yards against WVU even though they called off the dogs for the second half. A fumble on the kickoff wasn't going to make a difference.

I just thought I'd call you out for what I thought was a laughable wooly statement.
