that John Cohen is able to win a national title here at State. And then we can throw a big celebration and a big to-do to thank EVERYBODY who's made MSU baseball what it is from Clark & Palmeiro to Dudy Noble to the rest of the greats. Then i hope we even recognize the minor players like Jet Butler and Grant Hogue. Then i hope we recognize ridiculous insignificant people like Everett Kinnard, and the contributions they made that led up to national championship glory. And I hope we leave Ron Polk's selfish *** COMPLETELY OFF THE LIST!!!! <17> you, Ron Polk. And <17> your "i wouldn't even support Joe Torre" attitude.

I hadn't heard that, and took it just as Polk throwing in the name of a really good coach to prove a point. Like, "I wouldn't care if they hired Bill Bellichek"

When i read the following from Ellis' blog:

"I was up front with John Cohen, Pat Casey, Steve Smith all along. If Joe Torre got the job, I wouldn't support him. I know more about Mississippi State baseball than anyone. Greg Byrne doesn't know anything. Well, he's about to find out what my name means."

....tt sent me into a whole new stratosphere of irate.
