I think DeBoer could be fired mid year…

We should hire him if they do. He's 113-16 as a head coach...
He was 12-6 at Fresno.
Both of his years at Washington were with Penix Jr as QB.
A great QB could make Gene Chizik look legitimate.

The rest of his head coaching record is at the NAIA level

"He won 2/3 of his games at a G5 school" or "He recruited a great QB transfer and won big with him right way" sound like arguments in DeBoer's favor to me...

Tells me Sherrone Moore is horrible to go 7-5 with that team Harbugh left him, if the defending National Champs can beat Ohio State and Alabama they have no business going 7-5.
This is what I'm saying. How do you beat OhSt and Bama but go 8-5. Inconsistent.

He doesn't look like he has what it takes to be coached for Alabama. He's made too many mistakes, and he's also tried to make a running back play quarterback. There were several times today that if they had an adequately accurate quarterback, they would've completed the ball.

Unless they go 6-6 or something, he’ll get a third year. Now if they aren’t in the playoff after year three, he’s probably gone.

Plan was always to hire a transition coach to fail and take the heat off Lane in his first years at Bama.
That was never the plan. That’s never anyone’s plan. They hired DeBoer to win & win big. Now he may wind up bringing the transition coach who takes a little of the pressure off the next coach. Big that was never the plan.

If he takes an easy offseason and doesn’t look very busy toiling for all things crimson, and they get a slow start outta the gate next fall, he will be smoked.

Anyone thinking a third year for this guy is automatic clearly doesn’t know the kind of asshat hive-mind at work there.

He has to get a better QB. His offense can't be run by Milroe. He is way overhyped. Basically Chris Relf. In the right offense he would be good. Dan could win with him. I don't think he will get fired next year tho by any means. You may want to earmark this post

Milroe wasn’t awesome today by any stretch but it also looked like he was being straight harassed today by the Michigan defense all damn day. Still, the dude ain’t awesome.

I could very well see it happening. I know a prominent Tider who told me about half way through the season that the program had lost some discipline. That's one thing that Saban was very good at. When a coach loses discipline it's extremely difficult to ever get it back. I don't see DeBoer righting this ship.

Why is Alabama considered the gold standard without Saban? He made them the gold standard. They are not that anymore.

Other jobs are just as attractive. Stop thinking in 2007 terms.
