the slogan "Abandon all hope ye who cheer for the maroon and white" at the top of the board. Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about replacing the atmosphere of skepticism and doom and gloom on which this board was founded. I just thought out or respect for Byrne and the energy he has created, maybe something like "There is a glimmer of hope ye who cheer..." I have to be honest, I was quite sure we were going to screw this hire up...Mississippi State style. And I am not stating that Cohen is the second coming. I'm just saying that I do have hope for the first time in a long time and think there is a new air of accountability swirling around Starkville. Should things appear to revert back to the days of appeasement and apathy, then the abandonment of hope can resume. Just a thought.

The rule should have been if a certain Extreme poster ever doubled his BC contribution, then the slogan comes down. I ceratinly felt that was a lot more elusive than a national championship.</p>
