I wouldn’t be surprised if our gamecocks win 10 games. I think a lot of ppl that’s not close to this program is underestimating the players we’re returning on both sides of the ball and the new players that we have coming in. Our starting corners was arguably the best two starters in the SEC last season. We’re returning a deep DL, LBs that’s returning Greene and Brad looked like an actual SEC player last season. If we can get consistent play from our OL like we saw after the bye week and we don’t have major injuries, I think we can be the dark horse team that ppl want Tennessee/ARK to be.

To beat UGA we will need the Muschamp curse but I'm afraid after last year he broke that curse.

Love your optimism. I'm just hoping for 8 plus a bowl. Seems like all the pre-season prognosticators have us down for 5.

Our road schedule plus GA makes that tough but not impossible if we get "lightning in a bottle".

Wow. 10? I was just hoping to go to a bowl game this year.
Just looking at past teams we had, our team record always improved from year 1 to year 2. Our schedule is always hard. I’m a college football fan, knowing the improvements we made with the roster and seeing the talent that left some of the teams we play make me optimistic. Go look at what UGA, UK, ARK, Florida, and Tennessee loss on both sides of the ball. I don’t too much pay attention to the preseason record because those guys never get those right. We were supposed to win 3 games last season

When was the last time we ever had a better roster than the year before and had a worse record? I heard that statement a lot by the media and I can’t buy that. We always have a tough schedule.
I think maybe Arkansas will be tough, UT like ot or not is better. We won’t beat fla this year, so where is our 6,7,and 8 win coming from?

I am in the camp of "show me" these days. Been a Gamecock fan too long to get too hyped but I am pleasantly hopeful.
I am still not sold on Satt but I hope that I am wrong and he shocks me this season. Not sure I buy that we cant beat the Gayturds though.....

We wasn’t supposed to beat UF last season lol
Everyone knew Florida was a straight up dumpster fire last year. All the pundits agreed that if we could get by an opponent because of of the chaos then it would be Florida. This year, with that coach, they are gonna surprise a lot of people.

Florida is a mess but UGA, UK and ARK are all going to be strong again. UGA broke Florida before we played them last season, that is why we won that game. The Florida players quit on the season after the UGA game. 6 regular season wins will be good this season.

If we don't beat Florida this year it will probably be a long time before we beat them again. Their roster is weak and they have zero depth.

Is Bobo back at UghA, if so we have a chance
Bobo is back as an analyst at UGA, not as OC. Monken is the OC at Georgia and he may be the best in college football. Georgia's offense is going to be much better than last season this season. The defense may be slightly worse than last season but it will still be as good any we face.

UGA's offense may indeed be better this season, but that is not exactly a ringing endorsement either. Their D which which was suffocating, kept their O in favorable positions all through the season which took a lot of pressure off the QB.
The defense will still be good, but losing all that talent along with the DC may be a factor in a game or two.

Monken is the best OC in college football? Every year we hear that UGA is going to better offensively, and every year that’s not the case.

I hear what you’re saying, but we were a 20 point underdog in that game. I didn’t see one person in the media that picked us to win that game. Im a fan of SC and I simply refuse to keep using excuses to why we won a game when we were in our first year with a first year head coach.

UGA's offense looked pretty good last season, especially considering that they took off most of the second half of pretty much every game because they had such big leads. Defense may take a step back but the offense surely isn't.

Offense was good last season but was also flawed. They defense was so good that they didn’t fall behind in games.

I'll see your "wouldn't be surprised" and raise you one "I'd be shocked".

I'm as cynical as anybody, but I "feel ya" on this.
