In NEPA, we used to get orange ade in those small cartons, similar to milk cartons. I remember getting them at the Scranton CYC and kids would stomp on them when empty to make a loud bang, much to the chagrin of local basketball teams playing. Kids also used to stomp them and the flatten then to toss them like frisbees when the CYC hosted WWF events. Even the “bad guy” wrestlers would pick up the flattened cartons and hide them in their trunks and then proceed to poke the opponent in the eyes with the cartons. Ah the good old days.

In Mt. Carmel, we had the orange drink from Maurer's Dairy. The ice tea used to have a weird after taste, but all the chemicals in the orange neutralized the cardboard taste. They would get the loud stomp, or stuffed them with paper to make a "nerf" football at recess.

Rosenberger's dairy for me in grade school. Every lunch and snack. Milk, Choc Milk, Orange-ade(tasted like baby aspirin), Iced Tea and Lemonade. Snack they would bring around a bag of Philly pretzels you could buy with a little carton of Rosenbergers of your choice. Their choc milk went great with a PB&J sangwhich for lunch. I think they were acquired by a someone and schools don't do that anymore.

They still sell them here in NEPA. My daughter bought a six pack while she was home for Christmas break. I never saw her drink one but they disappeared. I'm sure they got mixed with something.

They're probably so gross now. They were kinda gross back in the 80's. Usually mixers taste better than the booze to help it go down that seems like the opposite but I hope everyone had fun!

Same cartons, sold as Freeman’s in Allentown growing up. Drank a ton at Steak Shop I worked at.

Same. Can't drink the stuff now but my son loves them. Being unique to that area, he hadn't been exposed to the concept here in Florida.

Publix supermarket does sell their tea in pint size plastic bottles, and even though it's sweet, it still tastes like real iced tea.... as opposed to Zimmerman and Guers.
