ICYMI: Plane & banner at Orange Bowl

My son - a sophomore in the UT marching band - sent me this photo of a plane flying around the stadium before the game. Top-shelf trolling of both teams.

The banner says "ENJOY YOUR BOWL GAME - GAMECOCKS"

I got a chuckle. I would not be surprised for a UT alum to send one to Columbia: "THANKS, WE DID. HOW WAS YOURS? - VOLS"

The fact that they
- upset two teams late in the season
- that each had playoff aspirations during the season (though Clemson was always a very long shot)
- knocked the last bit of hope out of Tennessee's still smouldering playoff bid
- and both teams ended up in the same non-playoff bowl game

... that was a rare opportunity. I don't begrudge the fan taking that shot, regardless of the size of his or her genitalia.
