Geographic disadvantage. Not a ton of talent in the PNW. The hotbed of talent on the west coast would be in California which is also the backyard of four also super rich in conference rivals, and every single other school at least takes a look.
There was a time when they had the talent to compete with anybody…on their cheer squad
You have to have a larger ratio of normal people in your fanbase and a less ugly color to wear.
Texas would be playing Texas A&M for the National Championship every year.
Yes but not necessarily money going to the athletic program. They don't publish like a public university is required.
We will find out who spent their money wisely. Lots of money is getting spent terribly in CFB. I will admit, I was worried about money, but now I'm starting to realize money doesn't change everything. I don't think I have to put up a lot of examples, but the stock market is one. People throw money away in there every day. Some people get rich, but not everyone who spends money.

But they also lose to one of the California schools in conference in this competition: USC.
It seems at the end of the day, having a HC in total control of the players and not the other way around seems to be a starting point of success.
