His stock has to be high, I would draft Varnado ahead of Roy Hibbert.

I thought he would test the waters at least, with his athletic ability you don't think a team like Golden State or Phoeniz could use a player with such a defensive presence.

Im sure there will be at least 5 players drafted in the first round, that i would have taken Varnado over.

in it, Jarvis pretty much says he will be a 4 year player because he still has so much left to learn and improve on before he feels he is ready to play professionally.
has to get stronger...currently, he would get pushed all over the court in the NBA as a post player, and he will never be a SF.
his shot has to improve...awful looking shot that has no repetition to it right now.

if he is able to jump to double digit scoring and at least maintain his blocks and rebounds, im sure he will be talked about for next year's draft. and like youve said, why not declare and see where he stands?...but unless his improvement over the summer and fall is remarkable to the point where he is a top 20 draft pick next season, why would he leave early?
he, unlike Jamont, is a player that will probably improve each season.

I have the utmost respect for the ability of Varnado, but he weigh like 100 pounds! He would get pushed around and around and around... It would not end well for him. He needs to keep working hard, like he will, add weight, like he will, and we will talk in a few years. While I agree most people are getting away from the big, anchor down, center types, but they are not going to the paper thin type either. Like I said give him a few years to get molded into the player he can be and his draft potential will skyrocket!
