how much pressure does Aaron Rodgers and the Packer's front brass have riding on the success of Green Bay? It's astronomical.

the Favre departure/retirement was inevitable. As long as the Packers don't go the NFL equivalent of 3-8, I'd think the front brass would be OK. Unless he's juicing ala Roger Clemens, there's no way Favre is better this season than last season. It's just physiologically impossible.

If he does end up in Minnesota that game might be the most publicized game this side of New Orleans after Katrina. The pure entertainment side of me would love to see it...the rest of me hopes he stays retired.

I hope he stays retired.

I had hoped Jerry Rice would stay retired, but returning as a WR doesn't hold a patch to returning as a QB.

Brett should take a good look at Rice, Polk, etc., and decide to stay home, play golf, buy a few thousand acres in the Miss. Delta to build a hunting lodge, anything other than spoiling his legacy. Seems like his agent would be begging him to do the same. He can continue to earn from endorsements for decades if he doesn't go stink it up with the KC Chiefs or some such.

That said, if he does return, I'll be pulling for him. He's a great story and a super Mississippi boy no matter where he matriculated.

Bus Cook's, as of last week, Farve wants to play, just not at green bay. He was hoping when he retired that green bay would automatically release him, but that didn't happen. He supposedly wants to play in warmer weather. He was trying to do this in a way that wouldn't upset the packer fans, but I guess that didn't work. The guy said cook kept mentioning tampa bay.

Farve is not stupid. If he wants to come back, he doesn't want to arrive in G.B. They will be lucky to win 4 games based on their schedule. I'd love to see him back in Hotlanta or (and I'm really dreaming) New Orleans.
