Barring a win tonight in BR (if said game is played), I'm firing Lemonjuice and giving Parker and "on the job" audition for HC. It's win/win. Certainly Lemon is done and it wouldn't cost anything to give Parker a shot and if it doesn't work out, we just mark a hire after the season.

One (at least) facet of the game has stepped up to blow it all conference season. It’s not always the same one, and it always negates a stout performance from another facet.

Thursday, we blew a huge offensive performance because Parker let the wrong guy implode. Yesterday, we wasted a gem of a pitching performance by striking out 18 times against a Saturday starter. I don’t know how we’ll blow it today, if we play. All I can say for sure is that we will blow it somehow.

Lardonis has lost control of the program. He can’t do anything right.

Why, when we load the bases with no or one outs, can we not get more than one man home?

That’s the million dollar question. I’m sure Bruce has an answer, but even he would have been able to get those runners home. Especially when you had ducks on the pond with no outs. This baseball team is worse than bad.

I'm know nothing about baseball, but why are we not bunting some in these situations? I see other teams that that effectively.

Like I said Thursday, we were playing bunt defense with 2 on, no outs while our relief pitcher couldn't throw a strike. When he did, it was high in the zone and the hitter knocked it out of the park. It just makes no sense! You wonder what game our coaching staff is actually watching during our ball game.

I don’t want an interim coach picking up steam with a weak schedule on the back half of the season. Let Lemonis ride it out and fire him after the season is over. We need complete overhaul

Our batters are hitting fungo to their defenders. Wherever they are standing, our guys look around to see where everyone is standing and then pick the guy they want to hitting to. Yes, I'm being facetious. But when your batters are always, always, always behind in the count, chances are they let a a hitters pitch go by to get themselves in the situation where they have to swing at a pitchers pitch!

Good grief y'all are wanting to spend extra money to fire a coach in a non-revenue sport. That's insane by definition. Let him coach out his contract. If we spend real money to fire him, we are freaking STUPID.
It would've been easier to just say State doesn't care about athletics. Look around, we suck in all but one sport, and it was disappointing as well. Fans are out on football if you haven't noticed. Tickets are not going well at all and we all know it's going to get worse this season with another bad year. You better start winning at something if you want athletic support. Fans are having to invest so much more and getting so much less from this school.

So, the bat girl gets the job?
I’d imagine the mound visit to go

bat girl: I didn’t think the rumors were true, give me the balls, I mean ball

pitcher: what rumors you talking about

bat girl: performance anxiety

pitcher: what’s that?

bat girl: like here tonight and the rumors - when I needed you to rise to the occasion and perform, you couldn’t do it

It would be private donations.. it would not take away from other sports. What’s stupid is someone trying to tell me how to spend my money. Makes me want to stop giving. I give plenty to football… even though I can’t take my family to any games (Autistic Child). So I help pay for everyone else to enjoy. Basketball is the same, but I have zero interest in it. Baseball is the sport I can take my family too. It’s something we can all enjoy together. Especially in the Omaha club where if it gets too much for my child to handle I can go inside for a second. Sports are suppose to be enjoyable and a past time with friends and family. I can guarantee you though if you lose baseball.. you will lose football donation. Some are tied together..

Those donations could go to other things that are more important than a non-rev sport, like more NIL money for football.

Look we need an overhaul. Only our administration can do that. For now, give what you can. I buy tickets and have no desire to go to the games now because we suck and right now it's a hassle going and I lose a whole day that isn't enjoyable. I continue to give in hopes we turn it around. If we keep going down the drain, I'll likely stop buying tickets but likely keep sending my NIL dollars for a while. The administration better look and see what happens when your athletics sucks. Loss of money to the town and school, enrollment doesn't climb, competitiveness decreases. Look at our basketball team with Ray, no one went to those games and there is likely a gap of 4 plus years as a result of students that don't care about basketball. Not being competitive has long lasting impacts. If the administration doesn't get it right, we fall further and further and in today NIL, that's less money which makes it harder to do. That means less competitive coaching hires, recruiting, etc. This needs to be fixed or major changes need to happen. In reality they should have already but the buck needs to stop this year and next year depending on which sport of interest or people need to get to packing

But I’m not giving anymore to football or NIL than I already contribute. I personally get no benefit from it. I understand football’s importance for the school, and I really understand revenue. Reason I have extra to give is because I understand it… but sports is also a leisure activity. I’m not building a business at MSU. We went from schools making too much money off TV deals to the fans have to pay the players.. while schools still keep the money from TV. (Make it make sense). Also they want more donations for buildings and such. If I give more to baseball that’s less than someone has too. It either goes to baseball or I can keep it. Plenty other business opportunities I can invest in and actually get a ROI. I’m willing to give extra on top of my donation to football for baseball. That’s kinda my point it’s extra.

I totally agree with this, do not spend a bunch of money on baseball. BUT can we not fire Lemonis and then hire a young coach at a much lower rate so it's a wash? I have no about his contract and what the buyout is so I'm guessing. But if we go in the hole to fire him, then keep that bum!
