just going to throw it out there:

Memphis has made every team look like MSU looked when MSU was playing without Varnado.

.......it to some degree. Of course I'm talking about the difference between having and not having Varnado in the game. He's a serious game changer and we need to do everything we can to develop him to his full potential.

If anyone seriously thinks we're the 2nd best team by that logic, then they really have no business commenting on sports..........ever.

Still, it goes without saying that Stansbury and his team deserves props for the way they played against Memphis. We're the only team to give them a real challenge to the very end of the game, and it wasn't some early season game that meant nothing either. I wish we had taken care of business early in the season and against UGA in the SEC tourney, because we could have finally made a deep run in the NCAA tourney.

if we hadn't started 5-5, we would've avoided the Tigers and might've met them much later in the tourney, like the Elite 8 or Final 4.

And if the Delk sisters weren't so stupid we would've had an awesome team this year. That would've given us the tall guards needed to guard Memphis (well, at least Richard would have, Reggie wasn't so great on D). There's virtually no doubt we would've be a Final Four contender with those two (once again, minus the fact they're morons).

Oh, what could have been.

I take little solace in being the only team to play them close so far. A loss is a loss.

I think the Delks would have bitched about lack of playing time and killed our team chemistry. We would have maybe faced off against Ole Miss in the NIT final four, if we were lucky with them.

if we would have beaten UGA, we would have atleast made the finals and been anywhere from a 5 to a 7 seed.

If MSU would have beaten Mempis, would we have made the Final Four...Championship game? Except for MSU, Mempis has made all teams look pretty silly.

I agree, which is why I included the "minus the fact they're morons". If they understood what their role should've been, we would have been hard for any team in the country to handle. Shoot, we almost beat Memphis w/out them and with Stewart struggling.

The Delks could have each gotten 20-25 minutes for one hell of a team this year if they had wanted to. I really think that with them, we'd have probably been a 3 seed and could have made a deep run in the NCAA.

To answer woof man's question I think we would have gotten by the other MSU but probaly would have lost to Texas.

However, I do think we might have made it to the elite 8 had we not drawn Memphis in Round #2. And, of course, we might have made in the elite 8 anyway, if we had just POUNDED THE DAMN BALL INSIDE IN THE LAST 8 MINUTES OF THE MEMPHIS GAME.

Sorry. It's still driving me nuts.
