The committee is there to create controversy. Think about it. The more controversy, the more people get on here and complain, watch talking heads opinions, watch games, the list goes on and on. It all leads itself to one item. MoneyAfter all these years of observing the different "systems" for determining a CFB champ, it seems obvious the job of the "committee" is to be the public face tasked with explaining what their taskmasters desire - the matchups they deem most profitable for them - while not revealing that truth.
They don't even have to give an evaluation of all the donuts they eat while composing the next word salad they have to spew to Rece Davis.
