If True, UGA is in for hurt.

They are loaded with outstanding players who think they should be on the field but there are only so many spots available.
If they can get on the field and get 🤑 elsewhere, it is possible.
Really good players are not happy winning while standing on the sidelines as non-participants.

I don’t know about 35, but I could see a number leaving, especially when someone flashes the cash!

Any athlete at any level wants to play - sitting on the bench when they can play else where is unacceptable to them

Who knows if the number is correct, but he's probably right in sentiment. The days of developing younger players while they watch and learn from the more experienced players may be over, at least for a lot of athletes. The first time they truly have to work harder to beat out stiff competition for a starting job may be when they get to the NFL.

Sadly, I think you are correct.

Yeah but most won't be in the NFL. Surprisingly about half don't get picked up by any team. So they are done at that point.

If ya think about it, Ole Kirb ain't sitting in the most amicable position right now. Losing the playoff the way they did, now this rumor?? A rumor BTW coming from well known, supposed source, who, supposedly, should know. Not the most positive accolade a head coach would want at this juncture, for him or his program.
Lot of big $$$$ donors reading this & going, "hmmmm " bout now.
Couldn't happen to nicer guy & could be a nice present for us, rounding out our team should it come to fruition.
Those 4 & 5 star athletes tired of picking splinters outta the backside & $$$$ signs do strange things to the mind.
Hopefully this keeps perculating.

Carson Beck is transferring out; NOT declaring for the NFL draft. Miami is favored to land him, after losing Ward, who announced for the draft only to change his mind as well and thus transferring to his 3rd school.

Glad my Boomer generation got to enjoy college football before all this Portal and NIL mess.

I may be in the minority but college football really is no longer fun to me.

Why would Miami spend money on Beck, and not spend it to retain Ward? Weird, imo.

Also weird that both are staying in college.

I didn't even watch this game tonight - beyond checking out a few highlights. It's not that the game is bad because there are excellent players and coaches involved out there, but building anything and holding on to what you have built is going to be a continuing frustration unless this thing gets fixed.

No one is in charge. I think that any good college coach who gets a chance to jump to the NFL ought to leap at the opportunity.

I thought Cam was declaring. Is that incorrect?

Maybe i misread Stock's post. He seemed to say that Ward decided against the NFL and will transfer to his 3rd school. Did i misread?

Edit: I looked, and I think I did misread. Beck is going to his 3rd school because Ward is staying in the draft.

I must have misread. I thought I read that Ward changed his mind about going into the draft. Hard to keep up with these kids.

Beck has been at UGA since high school. Miami will be his second school. This has the feeling that Kirby told Beck it was time to move on or the UGA collective basically fired him. He wasn't too impressive without Bowers and McConkey.

Makes sense. I wasn't aware the twins had transferred from Fresno State.
Transferred from Fresno St, to Miami, after going to the Final 8 at Miami, they then declared they were forgoing their senior year to take time off for other pursuits, then in November 2023 signed with TCU, then decommitted and came back to Miami for the Senior year.
Whew, that was a lot.
