Put your support towards any other brand besides Realtree. They've made it known this year that they could really care less about getting any fanbases business outside of Ole Miss

Honestly, I've never worn any Realtree stuff anyway because I always thought their stuff was cheap and less quality. I also always hated their patterns

This is pretty dumb unless they are giving money to every other SEC team in football team in the hunting states.

Real tree or Mossy Oak or whoever create very few products with their own patterns of camouflage. They license the patterns out for other companies to be able to use them on their own products.

Realtree is 2nd rate camo regardless of affiliation with Ole Miss. They, like OM, are a bunch of try-too-hard hacks.

But this is what every school needs to be doing though, right? There’s actually something in it for a company like this. They might lose a few msu customers but they will likely gain a lot more um fans. The schools going to be getting this money regardless, whether it comes from the company or from the owner & his kids. But they’ll be getting plenty of advertising from this.

Do we have any companies supporting ours yet?

Since their founder played football at Ole Miss with Manning, it makes perfect sense for them to support OM.

What about Drake? I know they are in Olive Branch but don’t know if they are State people.

Yes but I remember when NIL became a thing, this was one of the questions was how business’ will handle supporting one side of the rivalry or will they do both for business purpose. Clearly Realtree made its decision.
As far as state companies, mossy oak was started by Mississippi State people but I don’t know how involved they are in NIL.

I don’t know why a company like RealTree would publicize it. Support if you want, but why tie your name to one school, knowing how fandom is? I mean if it’s a straight up local business in town, sure. But a statewide, regional or national brand? Risky.

When I was around 10 or so, Archie came to Greenwood and about 15 of us or so got to hang out with him and catch post patterns from him and stuff. We all got free lottery ticks for a Saints Helmet at the end but I didn't win it. As much fun as that day was and still like telling folks I once caught a pass from Archie Manning, I've never once, not even a split second EVAH relinquished my disdain for tsun. My Dad taught me early on.

I've seen at least a dozen different camo patterns in my 32 years, likely the best for the environment was the sand-colored desert cammie, ironically they were only in use for a few years until the AF/USA went "all in" on the terrible ABU/ACU uniform and starting sending troops downrange in it.

Real Tree lost my business years ago when they refused to help sponsor some wounded veterans hunts. It wasn’t that they didn’t want to be sponsors that pissed me off. Can’t be mad about how someone else spends their advertising dollars, but their attitude towards the program rubbed me the wrong way. Besides that, their camo patterns suck and they’ll always be sucking hind teat behind Mossy Oak.

For Mossy Oak do know Toxey Haas and his wife, daughter, and sons went to State and company President Bill Sugg went as well. As far as I know they have always supported Mississippi State entirely and have been good sponsors in athletics. I hunted with their stuff before I ever knew what Mossy Oak was. They are far more than just clothing patterns now

MossyOak.com

I haven't had time to visit in a while but I will say if you hunt, fish, or manage fish and game they are your source no matter if they were a part of the MSU Family or not.

Realtree is crap. You can usually find it prominently merchandised at your local WalMart store. Definitely not recognized as a leader in the camo business.

And we all know Ole Miss fans wouldn’t be caught dead in a shooting house in any thing other than a thousand dollars worth of Sitka.
You can fill your freezer around here hunting in a pair of jeans, but if you ever make an extended hunt out West, Sitka, Kuiu, and wool are your friend. You will be so cold in anything with cotton you will wish you were dead. Recently returned from a 10 day elk hunt in Wyoming. We had rain, hail, sleet, and snow. I was never uncomfortably cold the whole time. That stuff is really expensive and definitely not needed around here, but it does have its place. Just in case you were interested, I got the bull of a lifetime. 330” 6x7.

But if it’s in the local Wal Martz, it’s selling due to the amount of traffic in the store.
