Playing last regular season match against Auburn today at 4 at Newell-Grissom.

Florida and Kentucky play today and tomorrow. If State beats Auburn and Florida wins 1 of 2 against Kentucky (extremely likely), Mississippi State is the SEC Champions in what is historically our worst sport. MSU Volleyball is the only program in any sport at any SEC school that has never been to the NCAA postseason. That changes on Monday. But the girls have a chance to win a title today.

Don't know anything about volleyball? Who cares. Show up in maroon and be loud. Here's a quick primer.

1. The goal is for the ball to touch the ground on your opponents side of the court in bounds or have your opponent hit it out of bounds.
2. You need to do this 25 times to win a set. You need to win three sets to win a match. If a fifth set is played, they go to 15.
3. Don't touch the net or touch the ball four times on one turn.

There is obviously a lot more to the game, but that's what you need to know if you just want to cheer for these girls today.

UF not getting destroyed, but not doing enough. They unfortunately might be mentally checked out by tomorrow if they can’t come back today.

Florida winning 1 of 2 over UK not looking "extremely likely"

Kentucky is on their way to shutting out UF in straight sets in this one. They look better at every position.

UK wraps up UF with a convincing 3rd set.

Still have a shot if UF can pull it off tomorrow, but they no longer have a title to play for.

Kentucky has swept 8 of their last 9 opponents - in a different league than the rest of the conference.

Gators did not look bad at all. Kentucky just played really well late in sets. Florida can come back and win tomorrow. Would have liked to see State have the opportunity to win a title on their home court instead of watching another team lose on tv.
