Every possession in OT will be like those last two minutes. We are SO DAMN BAD. It’s mindblowing you can outrebound a team by 20 and lose.
Every time Jeffries touches the ball it looks like every part of him is 3 inches longer than optimal
No basket since 3 mins left in the 2nd half. It’s the Howland way. It’s comical at how atrocious and ridiculous our athletic department is.
lmao. Taking the number 5 team in the country in basketball to OT is indicative of how bad our overall athletic department is?

We went from almost not even getting five fouls in regulation to putting them at the line for 19 points in overtime.
We definitely lost it down the stretch. We had a great chance to win in regulation. We go to the locker room at the start of overtime. The refs didn't really need to finally stop calling fouls on us for Auburn to win but I guess they had to make sure.
When we did this ^^^ I knew we were toast. They must not of had two for ones when Howland was coaching.
At this point, I wouldnt be surprised to see the SoCon cellar dweller give MSU all it can handle.
The team can clearly play with and seriously challenge almost any opponent. They took a couple of top 5 programs to OT, they beat a ranked Bama, and they beat a ranked Arkansas. In other games, they were as good as LSU, UT, Arkansas, and Bama for 90% of the minutes.
But I wouldnt be surprised if they lose in the 1st round of the NIT sort of like when MSU lost to #5 UMASS in 2OT back in 2012 to end Stansbury's tenure.

We will not accept an NIT bid because we will not have a coach. We will announce Ben Howland's departure the day after we bow out of the SECT and continue the coaching search that has probably been going on for a few weeks now.
Some players go pro early knowing they won’t get a shot at the NBA but to get a jump start on a career overseas. Jeffries could be one of those guys.
