And oh yeah, one more......

We need to pull for the Commies the next 2 weeks to win so they can get ranked again. Helps our SOS. They're at LSU this week & host the Vols next week.

OSU should be a blowout.
Florida has a chance at home.

That's the only ones that I think can go our way. But...

There's always a surprise, or two.

Actually:

12:00

Indiana at Ohio St.: massive Buckeye blowout Yes we do
Ole Miss at Florida: go Gators, 3 losses does knock Ole Miss out, but I'd rather them win out and take a spot in the Playoffs to boost our SOS and then we arent competing with them for an at large bid at 3 losses

3:30

Colorado at Kansas: go Jayhawks we need Colorado to win out and beat BYU, only 1 bid then to Big 12
KY at Texas: (hold your nose) go Cats, A Texas loss next week knocks them out with no wins vs ranked teams
Penn State at Minnesota: go Gophers, probably doesnt matter Penn State in no matter what

4:15

Missouri at Miss State: go Mizzou (keep them ranked for SOS) YES we do

7:00

Army vs. Notre Dame: go Army We need Army to lose badly so they dont grab a sentimental at large then Notre Dame to lose huge vs Socal

7:30

Alabama at Oklahoma: Boomer! Need Bama to win this then beat Auburn but be embarrassed in the SECC to ATM
aTm at Auburn: War Eagle! Need ATM to win out and win the SEC Championship

You missed the Miami game we need them to lose to this week to Wake or next week to Syracuse, so Clemson makes the ACCC, then we would be the only team with wins over 2 conference champions

We also need Vandy to beat LSU this weekend, next week it would help if they beat Tenn also

Sorry. I lost all respect for you when you got to that school upstate winning anything. I don't care how it could help us, I never want them to win anything. Just can't do it. As a lifelong resident of this state & a Carolina alum, it is ingrained in me to wish the absolute worst for them in everything they do.

Too much has to happen. Got to win the last two games and need lots of chaos. But most importantly what is needed is consistency from the decision makers. FSU was left out last season because the committee determined they weren’t the same team without their QB1. They could, just the same, reason that the Gamecocks made the plays on the field to beat LSU making SC 10-2. As unlikely as both of the first two items occurring are, both have incredibly more realistic chances of happening than the last one. If it were going to SC would already be higher in the CFP rankings.

It has been an enjoyable season. Well beyond expectations but playoffs aren’t a thing for us this season. And that’s ok. One of the reasons to not want a playoff is because everything then becomes about the playoffs. Even when this thing expands to 24 teams it won’t matter but for like 6 at the most.

Besides, if they get to the acccg, and win, are they not in the playoff? We need them to either not make the championship game, or at least lose if they get there. (And we need to beat them regardless.)

Disagree. The deal this year, there's NO dominant team way out in front of the pack that seems close to unbeatable. There are 10+ teams that could win the whole shebang. Yes, in my garnet shaded glasses I think the Cocks are one of those at this point in time. We might not have this much talent in our starting 22 in some time. Couple that with the crap shoot that will be this year's playoff with almost anybody having a real shot at it, we need chaos to happen so we can get in. The "football gods" owe the Cocks. It's time they pay up & have enough happen that we sneak in there. NOBODY wants to see us across the field in round 1.

Why would 3 losses knock out Ole miss, but not us? Especially if we are fighting them for one of the last spots, the head to head would come into play.

A loss to at home to KY is not aging well, and a loss to Florida or Miss St. would not be the momentum the committee is looking for, we need Clemson to win that ACCCG and beat SMU, that would assure the ACC only gets 1 team

I get that. But in the end, they'd pull up two 3 loss teams, and one of the first tie breakers would have to be head to head.

I get what you are saying, I just think we would need to be compared to teams we haven't played in order to look better.

There is an intangible which should be in the mix and that is early season losses vs late season losses or momentum.
Some teams have it early and lose it and other teams get better as the season progresses.

Addition: I think it'd help our cause some if Rutgers beats Illinois. Need the Illini to drop out of the CFP rankings, eliminating a good Penn St. win.

Every time I switch over to the UF/Ole Miss game an Ole Miss player is laying on the ground... weird

Hate to break it to y'all, but the buttholes on the committee will likely send Arizona St. surging past us. May not matter if they can win the Big 12, but if they were to lose the championship game, it could be a problem.
