Here is my question for the anti Lemonis trolls: John Cohen is the one that would have to make this call. John Cohen, you know, our former baseball coach who didn't have a winning SEC record until Year 4 and then went 8-22 two years removed from a CWS Finals appearance. How on God's green earth would it make any sense for Cohen to not give Lemonis A TON of patience when he himself was given a ton of it without accomplishing the things Lemonis has? And obviously our patience with Cohen as a baseball coach was justified, 2013 and 2016 are two of the all-time great seasons in program history. 2011 and 2012 had their moments, too. And Cohen's recruiting was the backbone of the 2016-2021 run of unprecedented success that we had.
There is no sliver of reality in which Lemonis's seat is anything close to warm until circa 2025, and it would only be an issue then if we did something like miss the NCAA Tourney the next three years. And the odds of that happening with way we recruit are microscopic.
