If there are people that truly want Lemonis gone then they just can’t be helped. This season sucks so far and may continue to suck. Lemonis has a 72% winning percentage at state and 61% in the SEC. This is right in line with O’Sullivan at Florida and Corbin at Vandy (both who have a 5-7 conference record).

Wait you’re telling us that after being in the World Series he’s got a losing record in the SEC! Need to fire him and his whole staff. Doesn’t he know he’s not allowed to have a down year*****

I was reminded of Matthew 26:11..."For ye have the poor always with you;"

And we have Fighting Irish

Here is my question for the anti Lemonis trolls: John Cohen is the one that would have to make this call. John Cohen, you know, our former baseball coach who didn't have a winning SEC record until Year 4 and then went 8-22 two years removed from a CWS Finals appearance. How on God's green earth would it make any sense for Cohen to not give Lemonis A TON of patience when he himself was given a ton of it without accomplishing the things Lemonis has? And obviously our patience with Cohen as a baseball coach was justified, 2013 and 2016 are two of the all-time great seasons in program history. 2011 and 2012 had their moments, too. And Cohen's recruiting was the backbone of the 2016-2021 run of unprecedented success that we had.

There is no sliver of reality in which Lemonis's seat is anything close to warm until circa 2025, and it would only be an issue then if we did something like miss the NCAA Tourney the next three years. And the odds of that happening with way we recruit are microscopic.

Are you saying you have the audacity to claim that Jake has more of an idea about what a good baseball coach is other than these world class internet critics?

Wanting Lemonis gone is really what is mind boggling from other fans. We won the first natty in school history but let’s get rid of him because we are struggling is asinine. We lost 3 tremendous leaders off last years team. You either have that quality or you don’t. Sims was the heart of the pitching staff. Losing him took all the air out. We have been to Omaha 3 consecutive seasons. Not many can claim that. This is nowhere close to the worst team state has had. The 6 24 In sec play in 2010 should be a reminder.

You wanna talk about mind boggling, the ring leader of the anti-Lemonis gang, one Fighting Irish, was dogging Lem most of LAST season too.

Has anyone actually said they would fire Lemonis?

So does fighting Irish literally have to say he wants Lemonis fired? He calls him a mid tier big 10 coach and has criticized him from day one. If he does not like him as a coach what is the point of his posting?

I know he’s your buddy but people are smart enough to read between the lines.
