im a state fan and alum. im no where close to being as educated in our football program as some of you idiots BUT i did go to the game and ive watched football before.

how in the samshit can some of you come on here and think we are in good shape after that horseshit we put on the field last night!! it is absolutely unbelievable as an SEC program we could come into the first game of the season and be completely unprepared to play against a WAC school or anybody else for that matter. we looked like a bunch of f'ing buffoons and its all our head coaches fault. the guy is totally unqualified as a head coach and i dont give a **** about "he is a good man." i would rather have a piece of **** prick running our program and winning (i dont have to eat dinner with the guy) than watching this f'ing juco flag football program take the field every weekend.

some of you need to get your head out of your asses and figure out that this **** aint changing until he is gone and its going to be the same f'ing story every goddam weekend! it wont improve, we wont win consistently, players wont quit getting suspended or kicked off the team, we wont ever get big recruits, we will still be unprepared to play, it will still be frustrating, and there will still be some of you that cant f'ing see it and you need to have your balls slammed in a car door. morons!

merry christmas hallelujah holy ****

Ok, you got me...you're not as educated about MSU football as people you deem to be "idiots." Yeah, that's better.

that Croom is not and has never been head coaching material. To be fair, I think he's a good guy and could win games with the right kind of oc and dc but his own personal agendas in that area is robbing MSU for all it's worth. I didn't want to believe he was forced on us by the ncaa and even argued to a fault but it's looking more and more like LT did all he could do to save us from heavy heavy sanctions. We got a slap on the wrist and 5+ years of the Croom/Woody Mc Show. At this point, I'd rather have the sanctions.

that Croom's biggest weakness is he tries to protect people that are his friends or does things that seem to be for the sake of promoting black coaches, whether that coach is the best fit or not. I have a BIG problem with that. Then he tries to cover for their flaws by helping them coach and it takes away from his HC responsibilties. For example, trying to teach Woody the WCO even though he has never run it before.

Even worse he does the same thing with QB's- see Henig and now Lee. It is absolutely killing our team.

What I expect is a HC that basically acts as a CEO and brings in good coordinators and coaches that can recruit. Then he needs to let the coaches do their jobs.

Panola,

My thoughts also. Adding to what you said, it is well documented that Croom wasn't going to take the job either. Until he talked to a few people. I got to wonder if he really wants to do what it takes to get us better. People who take jobs just for the money or because they were talked into it. Never really give the best effort.

...He brings some things to the table, good publicity, the recruiting appears to be drastically improving, his teams typically play hard and don't quit. But he will make you scratch your head when it comes to the actual game. Punting with 3 minutes to go down 8 with OUR punter, playing Lee like he did, abandoning the run, etc.

So I guess he was crying tears of joy after the UM and Liberty Bowl wins, because he was thinking about the pay raise he was going to get? I guess I can see that. Sure, his heart is not really in it.

Criticize the man for his coordinator hires or for not having the team ready for the La. Tech game, but let's leave the psycho analysis for someone else, whose head is not quite as far up his own *** as yours is.

we have a buddy system ongoing with our coaching staff. You know sometimes its not always best to have your very best friends be your top underlings (McCorvey and Harbison). It makes it very difficult to objectively evaluate their performance or dismiss them if need be. And for example, though possibly neither coach is a world beater, if you asked me with Woody and Rockey both on the staff who I think the better OC would be, in a heartbeat I would say Rockey. But beyond that, we would probably be better served if Croom would just go find a young innovative OC (whatever color) and bring him in to take over the offense but alas that will likely never happen.

Also, Harbison may turn out to do an excellent job, but he is an unknown as a DC. When Johnson left I didn't get any impression that Croom really looked to bring in any proven DC even if it was from a non-BCS school. Sounded like he was set and determined to promote from within it was just a matter of who. I too hope that we are more concerned about having winning football program over there than promoting an affirmative action program. Friendship and business don't always mix well.

We were trying to run the 10 yard punt, hit a La Tech guy in the head and recover play. The only thing is, Croom has to understand that the same trick play usually only works once a game and those coonasses were too smart to fall for that **** twice. I mean don't get me wrong, McShank really gave it all he got to bust one of those La. Tech players by getting the ball to bounce 10 yards back, but again they were just too smart and saw that play coming...

I'm still laughing about when the ball hit that La Tech player 10 yards down field. Poor guy didn't know what the hell was going on.

His heart is in it for himself and his friends (keeping them employed). He will not put Mississippi State before anyone of those even it means his job. Because he does not care enough about the job in the first place. How is that for spelling it out for you simpleton? Want me to draw you a picture?

As for things up my ***, you would know as it would be on the end of your tongue.
