This is the perfect set up for a typical MSU choke job(8-5 season, ESPN2 against a "lesser" foe) and the suspense is killing me. I'm usually not this pessimistic going into a game like this, but I can't shake it.

No Sherrod. No Pegues. Jamayel Smith is gimpy.

We will have freshmens returning punts and kicks. We will be breaking in brand new offensive tackles. Ellis Johnson, Titus Brown, Anthony Johnson, and Mike Brown: Gone.

We will be very lucky to come out on top.

There's no way to spin a loss in this game. I agree with you that this is a dangerous situation for us, but the reality is that you can't lose this game as an SEC team and not have to answer for it. I think we must beat La. Tech and Se La. if we want to have any kind of a season that doesn't leave the fans wanting to run Croom and McCorvey out of town by November.

then we have a long way to go still. A game against this particular Latech team should NOT be considered a toss up.
