The Oregon game was Franklin's "silver platter" game. Coming off a bye. White Out crowd. Veteran team up against a team returning very few starters, breaking in a new QB and traveling 3 time zones.
He will have another solid season, but PSU will not win it all with CJF.
I genuinely love your enthusiasm, MP. There is literally nothing they can do today that will similarly inspire me. Perhaps in weeks to come.
Today needs to be a display of a pissed off team looking to maul their opponent with no mercy. Anything less will be a disappointment. No BS. Line up and smash the guy in front of you. No cute, gimmicky stuff.
I would like to see the three back set (one being a TE) make a return to the offensive gameplan. I wonder why it was removed?
And if Allar comes out flat and not seeing the whole field again, bench him. Play Grunk with the first team.
I say some point in the third quarter both Grunk & Smolik need each to be given 1 series with the first team.

I think Smolik is questionable to play today. I also think Grunk deserves more than one series with the first teamers. Especially, if Allar sleep walks through this game like he has for the first four games. There has to be accountability for poor play. If he comes out rejuvenated and on fire, then fine, let him play, no questions asked. But if he has a hangover from last week and isn’t seeing the whole field, I think Grunk deserves some time.
