I'm surprised...

from what I've gathered (talking to a friend on the phone), it was as entertaining as it was stupid.

He said that Yancy should shut the site down immediately for those comments.

I'd love to hear him say that about Gene or Rosebowl, because the sites are equally dumb, as a whole, and Reve and Mullet have made equally stupid comments, on numerous occasions.

and it was far more entertaining than it was stupid.

But Gene/Rose somewhat know the where the line is b/w ridiculous and not ridiculous. Yancy never has known it.

because I'm usually at work still or still asleep.

Good to know, and I agree, Yancy is one of the more brick-headed administrators on any scout.com site.

His articles are as golden when it comes to spelling, grammar, or just the english language in general.

Yancy does have spelling and grammar issues, but I think it's almost more entertaining watching him try to use cliches. He has no clue how they work. We had an entire thread on Nafoom listing the Yancyisms. He's similar to Yogi Berra in his use of cliches.

that he is not qualified to comment on. He has some great interviews from around the country, and that is a good thing. I agree with you, but he does a pretty good job all-in-all.
