Maybe the team would be playing harder, but somehow I doubt it. I don't know of any ball player that would want an ERA bordering on double digits. It seems like a talent and lack of pitching issue.

MSU fans have a MUCH shorter leash for baseball than they do for football. I imagine that there would probably be rumors of Polk being forced to resign by now.
