where these people come from? i mean how can ANYONE in their right mind believe any of the stuff that he says? i used to think it was just someone from here pulling everyone's chain, but this guy is 110% dead serious. i mean polk has done a lot for SEC baseball (not by himself) as far as helping make it into a sport that people care about...somewhat...but greatest coach EVER? usually that title is reserved for someone that has AT LEAST made it to a national championship game...oh yeah, we came in 3rd once with a couple of MLB all-stars.

Dear God, tell me you're joking. I check GP once every couple of weeks and it seems to get more boring and more boring. The free board has less daily posts than this board does, it seems. There are threads that are a week old on the front page.

is the "premium" board. Heck, I think a lot of the posters on the free board post here as well.

for years we had the biggest and one of the best facilities, the best environment, we've had a baseball-only support group that gives money (not many schools care enough to even have that--ole miss has a good one but Im not sure outside of them), we've been able to pay good assistants through most of the Polk years (look at all he Polk assts that take head coaching jobs), we built an indoor baseball practice facility (it isn't recognized as that b/c Croom got it extended but that was the original intention), Polk raised money to build a separate baseball office building.

About the only thing Polk hasn't had was a wealth of academic scholarships. But by the same token, he's never lost a signee to the draft though he's signed numerous draftable players.

To act like Ron Polk hasn't been equal or better in terms of resources is just not a fair statement.
