I just watched the Say It Loud special on Coach Croom, again. And predictably, I'm ready to run through a wall for him.

Question: how much of an effect is this having on recruiting? I've read they show this to kids at camps and on visits. This has to be as powerful a recruiting tool as MSU has.

You're right. Could be a coincidence, but I swear I think this video has had an impact on recruiting...

I'm a middle aged fat white guy and I want to walk on and play for Croom after seeing that. I can see these 18 year olds (and their mommas) buying into playing for a living legend - a pioneer in African American leadership, as Jules describes it. And when you see how emotional Sly is about it, it makes for a pretty damn good story for MSU. Plus, there aren't many teams that had ESPN specials about them this offseason. Can't hurt.

I can actually feel the wool growing.

You got to remember he was the first black player at Tuscaloosa High, as well as one of B'ar's first black signees, in addition to all this. He's probably taken a lot of arrows because he's always been at the front.

I hope he can keep the momentum of 2007 going this season.

I know it is falling apart and they are having trouble finding parts, but how cool would it be if it was mounted on the other side of the M Club towards the Junction. That way pregame and post they could play games from around the SEC/Country. Also, pregame they can play clips like this, the first press conference, ads for the bulldog club, university messages and relations programs. Walk through could be played up big, and they could air Croom's post game press conference. Just my random ideas.

what legacy it would leave if Coach Croom were to lead State to an SEC Championship?!?!?! There is no doubt that he would be Jackie Robinson/Joe Louis in stature if he won a Championship at Miss State and the SEC at that. Imagine the history and status that State would always have!

It may never happen for him, or State, but wouldn't it simply be amazing to win the SEC with this man as our coach!!!
