In order to re or kindle or restart Penn State's OL tradition, we need to recruit a flat-out OL STUD or two every year!

Whether it be at guard or tackle.

Does our current class have one or two?

How about next years?

"It's all about relationships and the kids going on and getting drafted and performing in the NFL.

5-star sure-fire can't miss NFL OT or OG.

What say you?

Why? I've read here that PSU coaches would mess them up anyway.

I get your point and tend to agree however the Iowa’s and Wisconsi’s tend to do well with 3 star recruits on the O line.
actually, I think the OL players we have had come to PSU in the Franklin era may have been ranked on the average higher than what either Iowa or Wisconsin had in their classes. Rucci was a much higher ranked player than Wisconsin has traditionally gotten, and would have to be considered a major miss by PSU - how do you lose a legacy player who grew up in the center of PA? otherwise, our players have generally come in on the avg more highly ranked. I recall one of Iowa's premier OTs came there as a 2/3* TE and grew into and was developed as an OT. This could be a combination of those schools being able to recognize OL potential better than other schools, and/or just developing them better.

OFF scheme maybe is also part of this, but others may be able to comment on that.
