He was a good Gamecock. Unfortunate for him that he got jerked around a lot. Maybe if he had been left at one position, he could have excelled. Moving him to RB was a predictably disastrous decision by the current staff, but he sucked it up and did it anyway. Best of luck to him going forward.

Love that he gave 100 while here. But honestly he shouldn’t have been starting here at any position. I can’t see him playing professionally at any level

I dunno. It was kind of a strange situation with him. He was crazy athletic, but it doesn't seem like he the skill set to really stand out one particular position. I don't know if him getting jerked around from one position to another was simply the consequence of him not really being able to grasp any one position or if he was unable to grasp any one position because he got yanked around so much.

Love the player but this is a head scratcher. The NFL isn't going to take him seriously. I think he will end up in the United Football League (the new merged XFL/USFL) and will get a shot at being a quarterback. Here at USC no one believed in him as a serious quarterback -- which is astounding. In the few time he had a chance at QB all he did was light it up. I wish him well wherever he goes -- and the Spring Leagues had 100 players get invitations to NFL camps so don't laugh that off as a viable option to horn his way in. The NFL is in the process of placing equal or higher value to playing in the Spring League compared to playing "fake" preseason games where most everyone is scrub.

He was athletic for a QB. A lot of people get the impression that, if a player looks athletic at one position, it will automatically transfer to others. Joyner is around a 4.5 guy with good, not great agility. When you move him to WR, he is just another athletic guy. His athleticism would probably be average to below average for that position. Move him to RB. He was naturally too small and the weight they packed on him just took away all of his athleticism. Best move was probably move to defense (Safety) like DQ did out of high school.
