14-7 OSU at half. Indiana was ready to play, but it became very obvious how overmatched their O line is in the 2nd quarter.

I'm for Indiana, but I will not be surprised if OSU blows their doors off in this 2nd half.

I'm expecting a 28 point loss.

Oh, precisely what everyone knew would happen is happening when IU played their first real game of the season? I’m shocked***

Your move, committee.

Does Indiana have any quick throws in its playbook? They either run the ball or drop back and hold it until OSU gets someone on top of the QB.

Ohio State is the betting favorite to win the NC, playing at home. This won’t knock IU out of the playoffs if this is their only loss.

I'd like the stat on the number of times he's dropped back and been sacked vs getting a pass out. Our O line has looked better than Indiana in these last two quarters.

Exactly. It’s not like they’re losing to Purdue here. Committee will give them the benefit of doubt, especially if the alternative is to put 5 SEC schools in the playoff.

You're probably right, but it's the first team they've played all year even close to the Top 25 (granted OSU is top notch), and they are being completely dominated.

They've been very impressive against weak competition. It's a tough decision based on the currently available data

Yeah. If they’re in the ACC or Big 12 with that same team & same schedule, they’re probably out.

That’s the issue. 109 ranked schedule. It’s a g5 schedule not a big10 schedule.

as stated I think they get put in too… but this result is bad and gives the committee an out

Don’t worry, Ole Miss getting its third loss to a 5-5 Florida will settle the issue

Says a lot about the big 10 that it is a big 10 schedule. And next weeks game vs 1-10 Purdue won’t help any either. Lot of bad teams in the big 10 this year.

Indiana is still in. Whether they deserve it or not.
They are going to be the lowest ranked 1-loss team. Behind BYU and Boise St. The schedule is that bad. Whether that puts them in or not will depend on a lot of other factors, so they’ll need help. No way they are getting in over any 2-loss SEC team, Penn State, or 1-loss Notre Dame. Not a single good win on the resume, or even possible for them now.

To be clear. I’m not saying they should be in. I’m saying they will be. I just don’t think the committee will put a 2-loss SEC team in over a 1-loss Big 10 team, no matter how bad their schedule is.

Well, they got some instant help already. One less SEC team to worry about….now only 5 contenders from the SEC. Only chance of all of them finishing with 2 losses or less is Texas winning out and then losing to Bama in Atlanta.
