Clemson still without a win over a ranked team and their playoff chances gone. Go Gamecocks

I think they can still win the ACC w some help. Imagine if they do, and A&M beats Texas and Georgia.

We will be 9-3 w wins over 2 conference champs. I think we get in

Yeah I thought about that after I posted it just didnt feel right to delete it. You have more faith in the committee doing the right thing than I do. Beating three ranked teams in a six game win streak to finish the season is impressive and worthy and if nothing else deserving of what really should be called an extended season. That said, if nothing else, I am excited to see what bowl we get.

The problem with those scenarios is that when teams unexpectedly get bids by way of the automatic bid for conference champions it likely knocks out at-large bids for "bubble" teams unless teams like SMU and UGA are knocked out of the playoffs because of the championship game losses. I'm afraid SMU and Miami are going to get in no matter what happens. Same for Texas and UGA. So, we might as well pull for one of those teams to win their conferences' automatic bids.

What disappoints me this year is how little SOS seems to mean anymore when ranking these teams. How the heck can you have #6 and #12 not beating a single ranked team and #8 probably only having one win in the top 20? Not sure any of them should be anywhere in striking distance this time of year while other teams (multiple ones) with multiple wins over ranked teams are on the outside looking in.
