Had to double check, but so far it seems accurate. So far in this portal cycle, every transfer pickup by every school has been a big time get. That's a 100% success rate for transfer pickups. Just wild.
So, South Carolina not only school with sunshine pumpers you're saying.

True, there are far more players in the portal than there are open spots to land. Huge number of lower classification players looking to move on up! Sad, some will move on down or out.

The playoff expansion has more to do with Ole Miss being in playoff contention next year than the portal. They will not be a top 4 team.

I was more focused on the "big gets" than being a playoff contender.
If he adds Nolan as predicted to what he already has, he will have done quite well.

Overall, the portal is going to be a great thing for the popularity of college sports. Sports fans (even from historically bad programs) are eternal optimists. That’s the reason signing day (or draft day in pro sports) is so big - the fans get a renewed sense of hope. Maybe this is the year!

The portal just adds another opportunity to pick up those missing pieces and for fans to keep hope alive. Let’s be honest, hope is all most fan bases have each year. Wins are are to come by. So it’s nice to get multiple shots at hope each year.

In all seriousness, it's simply not possible that every transfer for every single program in the country can be a "big get".

Just all marketing.

Only for teams who lose a few backups and are looking to pick up only a key player or 2, which of course excludes us.
