referring to Pegues. I did not realize he was this close to this:

<span style="font-style: italic;">Just 525 yards shy of setting the SEC record for kick return yards (Derek Abney, Kentucky - 2,315)

<span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-style: italic;"> </span></span></span></span></span>If he stays healthy, I think he should be able to surpass this this season, ya think?<span style="font-style: italic;">

He had well over 500 KR yards last year. But I'd like to see him take a kickoff to the barn this year. That'd be a nice way to start the LA Tech game.

That's pretty cool.

Edit: Wait. I just realized that number of return opportunities is probably the most important determinant of this record.

Well, every team is guaranteed one return opportunity a game. So, that's an automatic 12 even if we don't give up a TD of FG all year. I think he averaged around 25 yards per return last year, which with 12 returns adds up to 300 yards. So, we're almost there and we haven't even given up a touchdown.

It means you've been returning a lot of kickoffs.</p>

Unless you're Steve Spurrier, and you send out a dubmass team captain that chooses to have you kicking off to MSU both halves.
