Okay, before anyone rips me for my "first post" it's not really my first post. Name change and first post since the switch to yuku. Former "GrenadaDog".

I grew up a Laker fan. All the white kids were big Celtic fans (Bird, McHale, DJ, Parrish,etc.) but I loved Magic Johnson and the way he played. I loved SHOWTIME. I was a huge Laker fan most of my life....

I LOVE THE WAY BOSTON PLAYS!!!! I'm a coach and I love good team defense and the Celtics are putting on a CLINIC on solid team defense. Kobe Bryant has virtually disappeared. Call me a traitor, but I love Doc Rivers' intensity and his committment to defense. I love Paul Pierce's game and the hustle of James Posey and Leon Powe. FINISH IT OFF Celts.

I hope now we can finally put to bed the notion that Kobe is equal to Michael Jordan. I don't recall any of Jordan's teams getting destroyed in a playoff game of significance. Kobe is just another really good player, not that there is anything wrong with that. He is what he is, a great offensive player who makes his teammates a little better.

Kobe doesn't really make his teammates much better. Unless they're wide open because their man went to double him. MJ made his teammates better. MJ willed his teams to championships. Kobe is a crybaby and his soft teammates are getting PUNKED on national television.

I was also a Lakers fan during the Showtime years. And Kobe doesn't need to even be mentioned anywhere in the same sentence with guys like Magic, Bird or Jordan. Those three were great players with great heart and were also great team players who made everyone else on their teams better players. Kobe is a great talent, but is selfish and has no heart.</p>
