How long will this leadership for the Heisman last? Until 2:00 PM tomorrow? Sunday?

Just messing around, he looked good against an overmatched defense. Happy that he got to play.

Interesting to see how he will do against some pretty good defenses on their schedule this year: USC, Alabama, Texas AM, Arkansas.

Would like to see him play well. I would feel better about PSU in 2025 if he had stayed around in case of an injury to Drew.

Grunk is fine. Better than Beau.

Apparently Grunk is not great. Barely beating out Smolik. Needs to significant improve in the next year.

Coach speak. They don't want Smolik to get down. He will probably hit the portal as soon as he can anyhow (just the nature of the sport now), but in a perfect world he sticks around to compete for the '26 job. Stick it out, continue to improve.

That is great. Hope for Beau to get injured. What a guy.
No one is hoping for Beau to get injured.

Apparently you didn’t watch yesterday’s game with Mizzu’s woeful OL, but please continue sharing your undereducated opinions… they are entertaining.

I now understand why your restaurant is soon to be ⚰️🪦💀

He took the same hits that drew takes or any other qb takes. That is silly. Why can’t you be happy that he is having success.
oh and thanks for the shout out for the restaurant. Any publicity is good publicity!!! 10 year anniversary this weekend and going strong!!!
I see you put some people on ignore on the thread. Guess you can’t take it!

Exactly. All QBs are going to get destroyed a few times a year. Lot of luck involved with avoiding injury. One hit can take out anyone. Hell how many noncontact injuries happen weekly?

Beau's running will help Mizzou and their offensive line woes......

Interested in seeing Grunk today, if things go as planned. Would like to see him with the 1s for some series, just in case. You have to wonder if PSU will need to dip into the portal for a QB if Grunk or Smolit are not at a needed level to start next year. I have not seen enough of either of them to really have a strong opinion on them being the guy to lead PSU.

Grunk and smolik will get plenty of reps, hopefully throwing as well, against the first 3 cupcakes. Will add great needed depth heading into conference play!!

Because I don’t give a bleep what a former player does elsewhere after he bailed on the team right before last year’s playoffs (and don’t even start with the “he had no choice”. BS)?

He definitely had no choice. Teams were picking up qbs left and right or did yoh forget that.

He had many options. In fact, many QBs transferred after spring ball. He could have waited until we were eliminated and still gone to Mizzou. It's not like his people can't chat with them.

He could have chose to stay and be the backup to Allar, no?

Pass up a huge payday, the chance to start, show what he can do and possibly be drafted.... so he can back-up Drew at PSU (oh yea, he also had already graduated and fulfilled his commitment to PSU)??? Yeah, I'm sure this is the advice you would have given your son..... - some of you are so ridiculous.

It is still a choice. I didn't say it was a good one or the advice I would give my imaginary son.
He also could have declared for the NFL draft or quit playing football.

Everything is a choice. You do anything you want once. <-- this is the advice I would (and have given) give anyone.

LMAO. Thanks for all the info Captain Obvious - is quitting football the player's choice? Thanks for helping us with that info, who'd have thunk that? Given that Pribula already graduated from PSU (and had fulfilling his commitment to them) and stated that he wanted a shot at starting and potentially making it to the next level, your supposed options all require Beau to give up his dreams for the future and a million+ $$$ payday so he ca remain a backup at PSU when he has already earned his PSU Degree. Your supposed "options" are so ridiculously stupid and unrealistic, it speaks volumes about your agenda.

Why would any PSU fan want someone who left the program to go to a competitor to do well? How does that help PSU in any way, shape, or form?

I have no agenda. I'm glad Beau is following his dreams and doing what he thinks is best for him. I do not pretend to know what is best for him (or anyone else).

I will never believe that there is no other option for any dilemma. Just better choices than others. And an understanding of the consequences of those choices.

When I was in college a student ask the prof. if the final was optional. The prof. replied everything in life is optional, but not the consequences of taking (or not taking) that option.

People chat? And stay focused on playoffs? lol. Don’t think franklin would have allowed that either. Can’t be 100 percent focused when you know you are leaving.

Ummmm..... he didn't "leave", he graduated. Why would PSU Graduates be happy when other PSU graduates are successful and making their dreams reality (a PSU Graduate who is also a native Pennsylvanian and former Pennsylvania high school player) - is that really your question??? If you don't understand why one PSUer is happy to see another PSUer succeed and realize their dreams...., well honestly you have zero class and aren't really a true Penn Stater.

Why tell Franklin?
Countless other players waited until the playoff ended. Didn't seem to he an issue for anyone other than Beau.

He didn't leave during the playoff moron. He was dismissed from the team by PSU - PSU was not required to dismiss him from the team and it was perfectly legal under NCAA rules for him to play through his Semester of graduation. Beau IN FACT wanted to continue playing for PSU, but PSU would not let him compete. Your post is absolutely anti-factual, bs and typically disgraceful.

He absolutely did. He entered the portal knowing the team rules. He made his choice. He acted like an emotional baby because Allar stayed.

Beau competed and proved time and time again he's not in the same league as Allar. Good luck to Mizzou when he quits on them. He's a quitee. Fact not opinion.

You’re being too literal just to be argumentative.

What eligibility does your imaginary son have? Height? Weight? Traditional drop back or a mobile QB? How much imaginary money to get him an imaginary slot at PSU?

Love him or hate him, he's a Penn State graduate. He got beat out and decided to move to someplace he can play. I wish him the best.

Nice highlight tape, but keep in mind it's the University of Central Arkansas.

That prof was a total weenie. It’s common for college courses to have optional finals - i.e., you will be get the grade you already earned if you don’t take the final, so the question was a legitimate one if that topic wasn’t clearly covered prior.

We've discussed this before. I'd have the same conversation with him. What's the concern?
He found out Allar was staying, he acted emotionally and transferred. He has every right to do so but instead of owning, he lied, and said he had to decide by 12/28 which was false. He also said he had no other options. Which was false. All he had to say was he was doing what was best for him, but, like coward, he didn't.
Many of us are Penn State graduates--doesn't mean we're above criticism. Do you think all Penn State grads and former athletes are perfect?
Let's be read knoxy
