Is Brandon gonna finally get this done tonight?

From 0-2 to 11-2 in Williams' first year. Only thing standing in their way is MC, who blew them off the field earlier in the year.

Has Brandon ever won the whole thing? For as much fanatical support as they have, seems like they'd have won a 'ship by now.

This is only the second time the Bulldogs have made it to the finals of the playoffs. They lost to South Panola in 2012.

Brandon is a much better team than the one that lost 42-19 in Madison during Week 2. They have won 11 straight. The bad news for the Bulldogs is that Madison Central is a better team as well. Madison lost a 35-28 thriller in Week 4 at Starkville, but won every other game to end up 12-1. Last week, Madison Central beat Starkville 34-13.

Common opponents:

Northwest Rankin
Brandon won 50-48
Madison Central barely broke a sweat and won 38-7

Clinton
Brandon needed a 14 point 4th quarter to seal a comeback 31-24
Madison Central won 34-17 when Clinton scored a garbage TD late

Oxford
Brandon lost 24-17
Madison Central won 48-7

Brandon had a nice season, but Madison Central should win this one 31-10 or so.

I do think Madison should probably win, but nothing would surprise me. The second Oxford game in the playoffs was much closer than the regular season game. Also, MC lost its starting QB early in that game. He didn’t play last week against Starkville. The backup has done well, but he’s not been asked to do much. MC used a dominant OL & running game to win that game.

May be deja vu. When MC won the title in 1999, the starting QB got hurt in the playoffs & they didn’t throw a pass in the title game.

Brandon has a 10th grader starting at QB for them as well. But he's been the starter all year. I think their strength has been their tailbacks, but I haven't watched enough to truly know.

Brandon has improved a bunch since the last time these two teams met.

Madison left a lot of points on the board in the first half with the fumble at the goal line and the stupid decision to go for it from the 20 with 40 seconds left. Hope that doesn't come back to haunt us. Madison - 10, Brandon - 7 at the half. Can't believe Brandon hasn't been going after #3 on defense after abusing him for 2 big completions on the 1st drive.

Jake Norris & Deandre Pullen not. so bad either. What a tough win for the Jags.

I like the Norris kid. Strikes me as a good, hard-nosed athlete. Could see his *** in Fayetteville as a tight end.
