of what polk's looks for in a MSU player.. rumour is that he hasn't spent enough time with under privledged kids, has skipped too many Sunday's at Church and might even be a democrat...

oh wait..I forgot.. we've got a new coach that brings in top 5 recruiting classes.. yep...I think now we've got a good shot..

Is he going to walkon but basically be given a spot? Not like they need the scholarship money. And I remember the post Raffy's wife made said they wanted him to go to MSU like Raffy. Hopefully Cohen will give him a roster spot since it seems he was a good prospect (seems he was drafted) and with Raffy donating a **** load of money.

I've heard some people say that he was basically waiting to see who the new coach was.

I've also heard that he may not come because of Cohen.

I don't know. I do believe he was drafted, so that's an option, as is going JUCO- which also has been rumored, and then you have some that say he may walk-on.

My guess- (assuming he is drafted) is that he sees what kind of offer he can get from the pros, and then if he doesn't like it he commits to State in August right before classes start, which may cause the pros to up their ante, and if he still doesn't like it, he goes to Starkville.</p>

From the last article I read, i believe it was on BJ, that he and the staff talked and agreed on him going juco for a year, and that they would have a slot for him next season to walk on i believe.

he is a sign and place.

If this is true, again this is great creativity by Cohen and his staff. Instead of bitching about the rules and letting this influential alum's child go to Texas or Miami, Cohen comes up with a way that he can come to State and without using a scholarship.

I believe you are correct. I think it was Paul that said Patrick has tons of potential but need A LOT of at bats next year that he just won't get in Starkville. Hopefully things work out.

looked like he really wanted to come to state. he said he was waiting to see what his pro offer was, but he said he had talked to cohen. obviously, it didn't sound like the money was really that important to him. i think the thing is, as someone else mentioned, cohen is looking for guys that can contribute right away as far as this class goes. PP seems like a raw talent. a possibility is him going to juco for a year just to get as many swings as possible.
