Is there a crack in Staley's commitment to UT?

Maybe the slightest hint of a hairline crack? Beamer pulled off a pretty big last-minute flip for Seller's last year.

Last year, Lanorris committed to Syracuse on March 6. We offered him October 22 and flipped hiim by signing day. Staley has been committed to UT since late June and we offered on October 4. Flipping from Syracuse is a different beast than flipping from UT, though.

Kind of surprised the head man wasn't in on the visit if we are seriously trying to pull the flip. I feel like we'd be going for the full court press. Unless Beamer feels like a flip isn't very likely so he's prioritizing his visits.

Not sure how much to read into it. Beamer is going to chase top instate talent down to the minute the kid signs. Maybe it works here? We certainly have PT to be had!

Who knows what some high school boy is going to do? That said, he might come to Carolina, have a great freshman season and then jump in the portal.

College football isn't nearly as much fun as it used to be. I can feel my interest waning more and more every day.

This much is true. It's almost like schools like us are doing the legwork to find talent for other schools.

It would be nice if he flips, but we can't make a habit of getting in so late on top in-state talent.

FWIW, ON3 shows Clemson with a percentage of landing him than us.
