Thanks. This will be fun. I do hope they go with the normal start with 125 being the first weight contested and not try to overhype this match. It’s going to be a fun evening.

That’s if he even wrestles. Who knows whether they send him out or Ferrari or Brands depending on whether it’s 174 or 184. Either way, none of them gets his hand raised at the end of the bout.

True. Even some on the Iowa board think Ferrari goes vs Carter. Which is disappointing since Arnold has been running his mouth for over a year now without consequences.

According to Brands at the post-Ohio St. press conference, he thinks he will wrestle or at least he alluded to the fact that they need their full compliment of wrestlers to have a shot and that he'd give it a go. Also, Brands says a lot of things.....

Yeah, I agree that the best case scenario is Iowa scoring 9 points and that would be with wins from Ayala, Teemer, and Buchanan. I think its more likely they only score 6 and very possible only 3. As far as what Gabe Arnold predicted...the entire Penn State roster would have to have the flu.

Every year this match is monumental....kind of like when Northampton wrestled Nazareth....only match I remember with 3 referees on the mat.

Sending a tag team of Arnold & Ferrari out against Starocci would improve their chances at 184.

Never understood the appeal of trash talking. My senior year of football, one of our assistant coaches taught at a neighboring school. Sometime during the week we were going to play that school, he told me that “Matt _______ said you couldn’t carry his jock.” I simply replied “Why would I want to carry his jock?” Think I had to run five or six laps for that comment.

I don’t get it either. That’s why I have so much respect for Saquon Barkley. He is uber talented and on top of the world right now and he couldn’t be more polite and humble. He’s a class act and represents PSU well.

Recovering from surgery so I can’t attend this #1 dual of the 24-25’ season. I hate missing matches . . . I mean how many times do we get to see one of the two best college wrestling teams of all time. Television doesn’t do the environment justice, . . . just the same, I’ll take my pills with a few nips of Edradour 10-Year, synch up Ironhead to BTN, and enjoy a good old fashioned *** whipping.

Whoops. Anyway I meant to type. I think Cruz is a tough out. He has been much better lately and beat mccrone pretty handily over the weekend. Luke hasn’t proven he can put it all together yet.

Tgar will say, he has been enjoying the BTN Friday night coverage of the double headers And enjoying a cocktail simultaneously. He is looking forward to returning home to sit with the pit bulls, enjoy something special, and watch the second match and post match coverage of all the action. The Big Ten coverage does a decent job of capturing the atmosphere.

All The best with your recovery and enjoy the evening. Yelling at home is fun!

I have always been the "let my play on the field do the talking" kind of guy. I love watching NFL celebrations when they score a TD because they're fun but I would 100% be the guy who just handed the ball to the ref. In my opinion there is nothing more satisfying than when a guy talks trash and the other guy doesn't say a word and just pounds them on the mat, shakes hands and walks away.

Ha Thanks. We have a male Weimaraner who hides in the mud room whenever he hears sports on TV. My wife is a gentle soul, but, things like the end of last nights MBB game remind me of my drill instructor at Parris Island. Loud, Direct, & lethal.
