Related to this, I almost was a Chelsea supporter.

I was in London with my Southern Miss British Studies pals and we stayed maybe two blocks from Stamford Bridge.

I could have a Chelsea supporter if not for the fact that I saw Arsenal play friendlies one weekend at Highbury against Atletico Madrid & Napoli. (Chelsea, ironically, was also a participant.)

Loved the atmosphere— ever since then I’ve been an Arsenal fan.
