You are right. Lethal weapon deals with a. Darker issue of depression and loneliness during the holiday. As he says “ the silly season”Die Hard is much lighter fare, almost a comedy, and is more uplifting, imho.
You hit that on the head.Equally as good for different reasons...
The relationship between Riggs and Murtaugh is so fun to watch and carries the film all the way to the end. Fantastic acting by Gibson and Glover.
Die Hard had the better villains, fun plot and action sequences so it gets the edge with those areas.
Alan Rickman always wins.
Welcome to the party pow.I’m sorry. I must have missed 60 Minutes. What are you saying?

Yippee ki-yay Mother Trucker
Yeah I miss Rickman. Loved him in both Dogma and Robin Hood too. “At Least I didn’t use a spoon!!!” Lol.I’m saying anything Alan Rickman is in is awesome. The end.
Did Midnighter miss a Hans Gruber quote?I’m saying anything Alan Rickman is in is awesome. The end.
Did Midnighter miss a Hans Gruber quote?
Damn. Say it isn’t so.
Yet neither are as terrible as your contribution to this thread. Both are crap.
Take away the subplot of the American president and it's as good as it gets.I know my man card is at stake, but how about a write in vote for Love Actually?
Yeah, that was a cheap shot. I do love the part about Colin going to America to meet hot American girls in Wisconsin.Take away the subplot of the American president and it's as good as it gets.
Rickman was great in Galaxy Quest though.

I don’t think so either, but why not let people have their fun?Neither of them are Christmas movies
The Shop Around The Corner takes pride of place on my list. All time Christmas faves...
- Christmas Vacation
- A Christmas Story
- Home Alone
- A Charlie Brown Christmas
- Eloise at Christmastime (You get great performances from Jeffrey Tambor, Christine Baranski, and the delightful Julie Andrews as Eloise's british Nanny who likes a martini or two at lunch....).
Die Hard is on Syfy now. Gruber out to the big lead early. I think he beats McClane this time.
Is that why they are running the die hard marathon today? HahahahaNeither of them are Christmas movies

Trading Places?no, certainly not in the same league as Stalag 17.
