it appears Mullen is motivating the Black Bear boosters

how he said that he wants the Physical Education major restored because of the concern for obesity in the state of Mississippi. NEVERMIND the fact that it would be an easy A for student athletes...

PE major Mississippi graduates to become high school coaches for recruiting advantages. Hell, don't we have enough beautiful Bobbys out there already?

I am glad our football team's student athletics are better than the student athletics that play for Ole Miss.

Hahaha...ok, that's a cheap shot. I shouldn't be so hard on Jones for that typo. Let's keep reading...

"In basketball, we have addressed the most critical need, the recently completed basketball practice facility."

Well, good to know the Tad Pad must be meeting their needs.

can't be, coach. Mullen is just another Orgeron. Just ask everyone on nafoom. He has no idea what he's doing and is always making an idiot of himself.

You say, "I understand your frustration with our athletic performance in recent years." Our letter does not reference "recent years." The basis for our letter is to emphasize the poor record of athletics in the three major sports over decades.

Pulitzer prize stuff if you're grindin' for the maroon and white.

I like how he claims to have addressed the most critical basketball need, but yet it still rains inside their "coliseum".

If he's unhappy, heads may start turning in a quick manner. Interesting you came across that. What you may find even more interesting is that's not an all Reb fam. Very good Bulldogs as well.

They haven't won anything significant in the SEC for decades. Their best bet is to drop out of the SEC, totally scrap the completely outdated"Ole Miss Rebel" thingy, rebuild their academics, and then start competing at a level which gives them a chance, like the Gulf South Conference.

It's apparent they can no longer compete with the big boys of the SEC like LSU, Georgia, alabama, Mississippi State, Florida, auburn, or USC.

i like the part where he quotes john adams (facts are stubborn things), and attributes it to ronald reagan (facts are stupid things). it may be nitpicky, but 17 if that ain't just like them....

similar to when Jackie made his run and we all remember the response to that situation from the Bears. I just hope they have risen above those type tactics but I'm not holding my breath.

But they don't have to worry....MSU & USM P.E. grads have got it covered.

P.E. I thought the "Interdisciplinary Studies" degree @ OM was Civil Engineering.

why our compliance and athletic departments are so nitpicky to this day. That is why we don't have picnics and other things that the bigger schools are doing these days. We are always walking around with our hands in the air for the ncaa to see. We don't have "drivers" or "plans" or "friends"with range rovers, or "leagal guardians" and on and on. But their frustration is compounded b/c they have all this **** and more and they still suck ***. So, now they need P.E. If Mullen takes us to atlanta, God only knows what they will pull.

the other thing that occurred to me is that, if this is a reputable man leading this, then this is somewhat of a witch hunt and the current administration's days are numbered. no one takes that much care to write back with so many words.<div>
</div><div>i also noticed the term "right way" was over used, like they are not going to cross the line, when in fact they grey and cross the line with as much creative resources as they have at their disposal. Also using the term "right way" so much almost assumed that the request was to do things the "wrong way".</div><div>
</div><div>And one final note, facilities are nice and important, but they do don't drive excellence. They are only a piece of the puzzle.</div>

gives them the upper hand and gets them what they want. Bottom line. They understand that our demise helps them, just like I understand that their demise helps us. The difference is that they, being elitists believe that they can make the rules up as they go. They buy a car for a recruit and they are justified. If we buy the same car for the same recruit, we have committed a huge sin against mankind. Dealing with those 17ers is only going to become more and more of a problem. I don't see a scenario where it will get better.

is obvious that you don't know Mutt's schtick when it comes to posting about the rebels. Don't worry, we aren't trying to elevate ourselves to alabama's level. Except maybe 1940 and 41 when we won back to back national titles!!

I didn't know it was that easy to get. Why hasn't Stricklin done this? I might as well get this started, I got about 20 mil laying around here somewhere.

....& South Carolina (USC).? So which school, Georgia or USC, don't belong in that statement?? Ole Miss was once good, like Sewanee was once good.? It's just that the highlights of both schools glory days should have "ashokan farewell" playing in the backround.

Beginning in the 2010's, The Mississippi St. University totally bitchslapped National Power Michigan, whileOle Miss lost to Jacksonville St, & I don't see the trend changing any time soon.

I am. When auburn is given the Death Penalty for being the most crooked organisation since the Ottoman Empire, Bammer is going to need a rival worth hating. Since we're only 90 miles away, I see becoming the big end year rivalry game. TheMSU- Bammer hatred willbe off the charts. The Hwy82 State Line will become an armed road block manned by troops.

When Ole Miss drops to Division II, perhaps we can put them in the annual rotation of gimme Homecoming Games wenowpreserve for J-St, Valley, & alcorn.
