It is bad enough that we have to deal with the McRib once a year

Other than egg McMuffin and sausage burrito, I haven't eaten anything else from there since the 80s. Quarter pounder with cheese was my go to.

ETA, I went to a McGriddle phase when they first came out.

McD's should go back to beef talon for its fries.

RFK Jr is right. Amongst many other things in our food....the seed oil replacement for the original oil used to fry the fries at McD's....is killing us.
No, seed oil is not killing us. Jesus.

This seed oil conspiracy theory needs to stop and RFK Jrs dumbass is part of the problem.

I tried one and it was almost drenched in secret sauce. I had the worst diarrhea attack since the time I had underbaked orange roughy.

It’s killing us with ****** taste. If i had a Time Machine, I’d go back and assassinate the *** hole that started the campaign to stop McDonald’s from using tallow because it was supposedly bad for your heart. No telling how much damage he is responsible for.
After him, might try to make time to kill hitler too. I dunno.

Seed oils were invented as machine lubricants, and only later as cooking oil.
Anyone who prefers chemicals over grass fed cow butter can’t be saved. You’re probably weak and fat. Probably depressed. I can’t believe it’s not butter. Because it’s not! 😂 Dumb ***

I give no shlts about this issue. I’ll eat as many Big Macs as I want.

But I think it’s hilarious that you pop up about things that allegedly affect your livelihood (not really, it’s a message board after all).

We’re all biased. One day maybe you’ll admit you are too.

The majority of seed oil that McDonalds uses contains rapeseed, sunflower, and canola. Things we don’t grow so it makes no difference to me if they use it or not. Do just a little bit of research and you’ll see how dumb this claim is. It’s being pushed by a bunch of social media influencers who make money off the alternatives to it. The scientific snd medical community have debunked this so many times. Btw I’m all for some beef tallow French fries.

If you think I’m weak, fat, depressed we can meet up at South Farm to settle this. After we eat some McD’s French fries of course.**

Cow butter is a chemical just as much as seed oils are chemicals.

I had some heart issues a very few years ago so now days I am very aware of what I eat for obvious reasons. Fast food in general is da debil. Just leave it alone if you want to extend your stay here on planet earth. If you must fry something occasionally use olive oil which increases your HDL good cholesterol. Allow yourself to eat whatever you want once a month and otherwise stick to healthy fruits and vegetables. Not fried. For meat stick with things that swim, things that fly, and things that are wild. A healthy diet along with a good trip to the gym three times a week will go along way toward keeping you on this side of the dirt. I know all of this is very anti SPS but it’s the way it is. Eat healthier earlier in life and you can avoid some of these bad health issues when you get older.

The seed oil theory was not started by RFK JR. Seed oils and margarine are not nearly as healthy.as natural foods. Same with eggs. I would much rather eat an egg than processed cereals with 12 chemicals and 3 man made dyes in them. Do some research people. You think people invented canola oil to make you healthier ? Or margarine ? Dont worry about aldehydes or euracic acid. Lol

Seed oils on their own are not bad. The seed oils used and sold commercially are chemically processed and are most certainly bad for you. I don’t agree with everything RFK jr speaks on but with regards to the food in this country and pharmaceuticals he is correct.

The truth is somewhere in between. They're not exactly bad for you, unless you eat a lot of them which most Americans do. Article from Mayo Clinic on seed oils. Key sentence in entire article if TLDR is
But Zumpano says you’d be just as wise to commit to avoiding processed foods instead.
This is what's really making people unhealthy.

I 17'ing love Mickey-D's.

I will be eating that Chicken Big Mac soon, and I have no doubt that it will taste absolutely delicious . . . like the rest of their food, especially breakfast.

Many of the comments in this thread make me think I'm reading show transcripts from "The View."

I don’t have a problem with McDonalds. I still like their quarter pounder with cheese. Having said that try Culver’s if you’re ever near one. 👌

The US and the FDA seems to have been uniquely bad in the US compared to other countries. I’m not exactly sure why it’s so bad, but I blame the farm lobby in general and @DesotoCountyDawg in particular.

I'm going to enjoy life while I am alive by occassionally eating at McD's.

If that's wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

Farm lobby is definitely part of it. They, basically, formed the food pyramid and none of it was based on nutrition

Had no idea seed oils were invented. I assumed they were extracted from seeds…

He’s a lawyer, not even qualified to have any authority on such matters.

Since 2005, Kennedy has promoted anti-vaccine misinformation[8] and public-health conspiracy theories,[9] including the scientifically disproven claim of a causal link between vaccines and autism. The preservative Kennedy bases his claims on has not been used in childhood vaccines since 2001.[10]Kennedy has described his position as advocating for medical freedom and raising concerns about government overreach in public health matters, though public health experts and fact checkers have widely criticized this framing.[11][12] Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has emerged as a leading proponent of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation in the United States.[13][1] Many of his often false public health claims have targeted prominent figures such as Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, and Joe Biden.
